Is RTTS the only place you can build up your ballplayer before you can put him in your DD lineup?

I don't see any Moments/Mission for them in DD.

No, there are DD missions as well. They are in the same spot as the RTTS missions and are similar to the ones you need in RTTS, but only obtained in DD.

My slugger ballplayer has basically:
Innings played (Repeatable)
and a bunch of XBH missions.

in RTTS replace innings with PAs.

Not familiar with xbox controls but on the PS5 its the equivalent of touchpad (profile) --> loadout --> SQUARE (or xbox equivalent) and there should be 2 menus of missions.
