Is Ps5 code with jackie edition flippable?

I am trying to decide what version of the show I should preorder. I dont plan on getting a ps5 within the show 21’s lifespan. However, I love the steel books and would certainly appreciate the bonuses that come with the $85 version but I dont want to spend that much. Which leads me to my question, does anyone know if the code you receive for the ps5 download is sellable or transferable? Basically does anyone know if I would be able to sell the ps5 code and just keep my ps4 disc? Am I going to get banned for asking this lmao? Thanks

The PS5 digital code in the physical Jackie Robinson edition requires the PS4 disc.

Wait so you have to insert the ps4 disc into the ps5 after you redeem the ps5 code? What if you order a ps5 that is digital only?

Yes, you need to insert the disc every time. If you get the digital only PS5 and a physical Jackie Robinson edition, you're screwed. It's in the FAQ. In short, anyone who thinks they may get a digital only PS5 at some point should stick to a digital version of The Show, along with digital versions of other games for that matter since it has PS4 backwards compatibility.

I agree with you about the steelbook. I buy the digital deluxe every year and then buy the steelbook online. Should be even easier to do that since there’ll be more steelbook editions thanks to Xbox.

They should just sell the steel book with a PS5 game code and no disk.

I was hoping the PS5 code in the Steelbook would allow us to just install the PS5 version. Madden requires you to have both the PS4 and PS5 versions installed. Does anyone know if The Show is going to be the same? I'm already out of space as it is.

If it is a code I highly doubt you will have to have the disc in the ps5. If it’s just entitlement you will need the disc.

It's in the FAQ. SDS has already confirmed that you need to have the disc inserted each time you play the game.
