how many mlb 21 stubs have you guys bought so far?
I'm strongly considering buying stubs for Mike Trout day 1. To get him for 160K on launch day essentially saves you 140K stubs because he'll jump to 300 soon enough.
I like the idea of being NMS, but watching his price slowly rise and rise was a killer last year.
Same that’s the only 100$ dollars I’m spending on the game . NMS Road all the way through after that Lots of Showdowns will be played .
According to CBREV's video, Trout could be had from 150K-175K on launch night. So my 150K stubs for $100 and the 25K stubs from the digital deluxe should be just enough. I can sell cards from the packs to get more.
Then it makes the grind a little easier but still get to enjoy the long grind of showdowns, conquest etc without the big fish looming over my head.
Just because you could have got trout for 150 last year doesn’t mean you can this year.
Yes but its the best piece of evidence we have considering he'll be the highest live series card again.

It's possible, but no one has stubs launch night unless they buy them. The amount of people to do that is fairly low so those that pull him will only be selling to a small % that buy stubs and it keeps his price lower for the first day or two.

The demand comes more from the supply of the card. If a lot of people keep him and his sell order doesn’t drop from people cutting the price to try and be the first one to be bought then the price will remain high.

I think he was saying you might be able to get him that cheap...and you won't. I packed Trout in my first pack last season, sold him 3/12/2020 11:01PM PDT for 295,111 stubs. Trout will always be the big gatekeeper because he's also the best live series card in the game, and if Pedro is the AL collection, be ready for that to drive him up even more for the first couple of weeks.
-
As for Trouty, I sold him early last year because I couldn't hit with him. Took a bit to get his MVP card swing down, and loved that card so since I just got my Stimmy, I might buy stubs early as well for him.

Even if he is, that just means he'll rise to 600K and settle there for most of the game cycle. I don't get how so many of you don't understand that as time goes on, everyone's stub count goes up...so will his price. The earlier you buy him the better.
-
None. Wknt be buying any cause I won't need to.

Oh I totally agree with your logic & reasoning and I will definitely be buying him launch night, I just think it’s hard to have any possible value tied to him right now when we’ve never had a market this enormous. There’s just no way of knowing his specific value ahead of time.

Facts Trout Price will only go up later in the year . and his playing good IRL that keeps up don’t expect his price to ever go down with a upgrade or two seeing as his always the big Gatekeeper card for collections .

Yes, I remember paying 75K for Cole in the first couple weeks. The card itself SUCKED, so I was kind of annoyed. Then he settled at 150K for months so I was happy I got him half off. I'll be prioritizing the high diamonds early on, even if I have to sell the 42 TA cards (assuming they're sellable). I'm playing the long-run game.

I bought the JR Digital Deluxe, so I should have 25,000 right off the bat. Then this morning I went ahead and bought 11k more to give me a decent bankroll going into tonight --
