Last year, the hitting was great out of the box and was ruined after 4 days due to a bunch of whiners who couldn’t take high scoring games (even though literally everyone was playing on all star and good hitting early is easier to get than good pitching). Please give this year some time before crying about “unbelievable” baseball scores (especially with people learning on pinpoint and likely hanging tons of pitches). H2H is supposed to be where user skill matters most and if that means high scoring games then so be it, better that than have an algorithm determine whose middle pci good timing hit is a homer and whose is a pop up.

I agree, but don't mistake the fact that people complained led to the changes. They monitor the data very closely and if they take note of high scores and too many homeruns, they will make tweaks regardless of the amount of complaints or compliments.

Changing the hitting that drastically 4 days in was not data driven (if so that means they literally didn’t play test at all), as it was patched before the regular release of the game. If there are lots of home runs due to good user input so be it.

I don't wanna argue with you, but it was most definitely data driven. They even confirmed this at the time of the patches. They underestimated our ability to square up the ball and probably tested the game with a bunch of casual players. Have you seen the SDS tournament? Even their best player is mediocre at best compared to the good and elite players in this community.

This. I don't believe that complaints were the catalyst for the early patching to hitting. I believe SDS being idiots was the catalyst for the patch.

We all actually start RS on Veteran, so I think that helps with the whole idea that hitting is great at the beginning too. Because I think that is the only time you can play RS on Veteran is at the very beginning. Because once you hit a certain point, 400 I believe, it is all All Star from that point on, until you get higher up of course. So a lot of the changes in hitting were simply people not playing on veteran anymore.

I think people will be complaining cause they can't hit due to the new skill based system. I think alot of players about to find out they are not as good as they think they are.

I know I sucked before and I will suck even worse now

Pretty sure people will complain because they like to hear themselves complain.
Ive been curious if the fastball will be the best pitch or the worst like in 18

To be fair it was a broken game at launch. They didn’t even fix outfielders flat out missing the ball till may right? And that’s just one issue that made me feel it wasn’t complete at launch.
