They’d rather give the reward to. The guy on a single with the back of his bat because he couldn’t read the off speed bro. Equity of outcome...

But that’s what happens irl it’s kinda just luck, but you guys keep exaggerating it good inputs are still rewarded more than bad. Either way it happens irl so do you just want games are 15-12 with 20 solo homers?

I hope y’all aren’t expecting it to change in 21. SDS has been making this game for 16 years and they seem to regress every game. Oh new graphics and animations, but you can’t pitch effectively, early is better then perfect oh and fielders have no urgency at key moments in the game.
-
Another thread complaining about the game not rewarding “good contact” Well that means you need to have more consistent “good contact”. Irl do you know what they call a hitter who gets occasional good contact? Normal!!! And those who get consistent good contact? Mike Trout, Juan Soto, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. In other words elite players. My guess is the OP is not an elite gamer. If you want to see better results become more disciplined at the plate and learn how to read pitches so you can make consistent good contact and you’ll see you’re results improve dramatically.

I understand lineouts are part of the game but back to back games with the same exact result is a little frustrating, especially when my opponents line drives are getting rewarded. And I have improved as a hitter like I said in the OP. I've watched the hitting tips videos posted by the top players and tried to implement those methods into my strategy at the plate and have improved dramatically.

Ive made consistent good contact and lined out for an entire game and lost to an opponent that struck out 23 times. Just stop. The games bad. The beta if they keep it how it is will be a true test of real skill.
In fact I’ve lost to several opponents that the ONLY way they got a hit is because they were swinging at everything and the game forced a perfect meter directly down the middle. Mind you this is after 15 line outs to the defense on my end tracking the ball to all parts of the zone. High and tight, low and away. Working counts etc. mlb 20 is not a skill based game. It just isn’t.

If it’s not a skill-based game, then how are the top players routinely at the top? Like i said I have out inputted my opponent like 2-300% and lost...I couldn’t BE ANY BETTER in a lot of games I lost. I’ve had a lot of time with this game and “better” isn’t a thing. That being said there are def people that are better at the game. But the game doesn’t reward better..it just doesn’t.
I don’t know what people have a hard time understanding. Mlb the show since 2018 has been a random series of RNG algorithims. You can disagree if you want...you are still wrong.
Call it “baseball”. But if I have good contact with great pci placement on 15 at bats and I have 1 run. And my opponent had 5 runs from good contact and great pci placement 6 at bats. Then the game is mathematically not skill based. And this happens more then I can even count. It’s totally random. What they tried to do is include everyone. So they toned down competitiveness a lot and added simulation casual play and threw the word “ranked “ on it

Sounds like the game screws you a lot whenever you lose. That sucks. Good luck.

Ok. When I have 5 great inputs and 5 runs and my opponent has 15 great inputs and 1 run. Guess what it’s still random. It’s not random when I lose and skill when I win.
The gameplay is always random. Win or lose
Trust me I don’t like winning like that either because I’m not one of these people who seek equity of outcome I’d rather be 2-100 if I didn’t earn my victories. Give me a skill base and a learning curve to get to...

So explain how this happens. 15 line outs to the defense on contact of literally maybe an 8th of an inch away from perfect with power swings. 2 perfect perfect outs. My opponent strikes out 19 times and wins on 3 late weak hits to a full energy pitcher? That’s not a one time occurrence this is an epidemic in this game. Please tell me it’s not true because I will start making videos. Search the internet. Watch YouTube. Game is not skill based period. A lot of these so called “top players” got MAN HANDLED in the beta.
Personally I beat 3 very known streamers and 2 of them it wasn’t even close and they have similar records to yours in 20.

I played the beta too, do you know how many games I lost combining all the events (70 plus games) and about 15 friendlies? The correct answer is 2!!! 1 because of a server disconnect and another on a walk off. Top of the leaderboard in events in all of them. So what exactly is your point. You beat some good players. Good for you. Your whole argument is there is no skill in 20 and you use the beta to make an argument except your argument holds no water. I’m not a lucky player bud, I’m a good player I’m certainly not top 10 nor top 20 or even in the top 100 but based on this thread I’m certainly better than you are based on your logic. Fact is there is plenty of skill in this game and generally speaking I don’t lose to the inferior opponent. I find a way to win because I don’t sit there expecting bad things to happen. If I get tagged for an “rng” homer I don’t lose my mind and start making false assumptions about what’s going on, I just move on and play. I’ve had many games where I’ve had a ton of perfect contact not be rewarded but I don’t complain about it I just make adjustments on where I’m hitting the ball and take the runs I surrendered back. So please spare me the song and dance about rng.

Just because someone streams doesn’t make them good at the game. But out of curiosity I’d like to know which streamers you might be referring to. I’m sure they would corroborate your story of you MAN HANDLING them seeings that streaming was forbidden and if they were a top streamer they wouldn’t sacrifice their revenue stream to not stream their content. Something smells fishy with this claim.

Nah man sorry. I’m way better then you think. I’m not complaining about the game cuS I’m bad at it. In order to play the game competitively you need to get to HOF first before HOF it’s 100% an absolute [censored] shoot. I’ve lost to BAD players on allstar after completely out inputting them to the point a mercy isn’t out of the question —
And I too don’t make false assumptions. And I too find ways too win which is usually 8-9 more great contacts with Diamond studs that go right to the defense. I have a lot of experience in this game. I know how to win at a high level. This game doesn’t allow for that level of competitiveness. That’s why they are changing it bro...it’s no secret.
The game is random. Accept it and move on. I means it’s so random it’s not even funny how random it is.

You’re bad..

And yet Ive managed to have like a 82-19 record with a team batting average north of .300 and a team ERA 3.50. Yep I must have zero skill and it’s all been rng luck. I ought to go buy a lottery ticket as I’m the luckiest person in the world. SMH at the stupidity of your post. Have a good day kid
No you’re not, you’ve been the same player for 4 years with the same complaints for 4 years, just get better at the game so we don’t have to listen to you anymore
