My thoughts on competitive mode

If it allows directional hitting its all a hoax.
Not to be negative. But in order to balance directional hitting they have to make zone more random.
If it doesn’t allow directional and it is a higher difficulty with only zone — I have faith this game has a lot of potential.

My point is for an online competitive mode, using directional is a massive disadvantage, so I don't understand why it should be banned.

My point is for an online competitive mode, using directional is a massive disadvantage, so I don't understand why it should be banned.
I think some players feel frustrated when they face an opponent who seemingly cannot hit all game and then suddenly crushes a pitcher’s pitch for a game winning home run.
In order to rationalize losing to a seemingly inferior player (feels bad), maybe I tell myself, “he must be a directional hitter”.
By extension, I might post on a forum that all such hitters should be banned so I can win more.
Does it make sense? Not really.

Definitely, I'd love for all of my opponents in ranked to be using directional, they'd get exposed real quick. That doesn't happen though, unless OP is talking about playing down around the 600s.

Definitely, I'd love for all of my opponents in ranked to be using directional, they'd get exposed real quick. That doesn't happen though, unless OP is talking about playing down around the 600s.
I suspect he is talking about facing directional hitters in the 4-500’s.

Directional hitting is such a disadvantage except this year with pitches that get grooved consistently. In the past, it was so easy to beat but this year might be a little more difficult

There is a theory that that is why gravity balls are a thing this year.

I've been playing around with analog flick. Even if your timing is perfect it's still probably a 70% chance you won't hit it clean, or at all. Same as directional

I like easy wins, I’ll never understand why people want something out of the game that puts people at a disadvantage

Pitching on-line makes no sense at all. If you use metered pitching, you are penalized with no control! Then again, you can catch up to the ball against the CPU on legend, but can't seem to catch up to it when playing in DD on All-Star. I just don't get it!

I’ve recently become more of ranked player, I don’t really enjoy it to much, I can in to the 700s, but far too often I loose games where I have two outs in the 9th and whatever runs I’m up by I give that up in late and bloop and then watch crushed for game winnings homer... At this point I ask myself did I really enjoy this experience. Not ripping on my Opponents here, I don’t understand why this happens so frequently...

No one understands! Every hit your opponent gets seems to be a perfectly placed ball in the gap or just out of reach, if not an error. The game online makes no sense at all!!! It's pure stupidity at the end of day., I doubt they will ever change it.

I mean, you’re hitting under .200 with a record almost 100 games under .500 at some point it can’t always be the game

Well over 100 games under. What is your point?? I can destroy the game against the CPU on legend but just can't seem to catch up to the pitches online you idiot. I have a perfect internet connection and yet the ball comes in 10 x faster on allstar than it does against the cpu on legend. I see what I see. I'm not stupid. The game caters to certain players.
