Has anyone tried to use the MLBTheShow Reddit page?
-
I made a Reddit account 2 days ago to talk about my favorite games on their respective pages.
I commented on MLBTheShow’s page and they permanently banned me for “Ban Evasion” I asked why I was banned and they just blocked me from talking to them for 28 days.
Do they all just act like total Nazis over there?

Sounds to me like they think you're someone who got banned on another account and now you've returned on an alt account.

You name must have just been really similar to someone that got banned over there i am guessing. The mods aren't too bad over there but there is one of them that deletes posts showing off the new cards just to post his own and keep that one up. It drives me nuts

Wow that sucks. So should I just wait out my 28 days and then ask them again? And then if they just mute me again is there any way I could report that to Reddit and try to get that abuser of power mod IP banned?

Just create a new account with a completely different username. Even though it was probably an honest mistake there really isn't much you can do about it

I'm on there as often as I am here.

Message the mods via DM. You can message the whole group and ask there.

You would think they could just look at the IP address and figure it out. Unless you use an IP app that changes every so often.

And maybe that is exactly what they did.

I had this type of thing somewhat happen to me too. Going to get my motorcycles license, the lady asked me tons of questions and kept looking at me weird and making me repeat my bday and height. So I asked her why she needed to ask so much? And she told me that I matched the description of an escaped felon from Tennessee lol same full name, same height and weight, eye color. same bday literally everything lined up and the only thing that separated me from him was my social.
TLDR: people can easily mistake you for someone you’re not
