Hey guys after my last couple ranked and event games I’ve made the tough decision I need to go out and get me one of those friends or guys that I can hand the controller to when I’m doing poorly in a game. How do some of you go about it? Do you pay someone or is it just a friend who is always with you, super awesome at the game yet only enjoys playing on your account when you are in trouble?

I mean there is no such thing a RNG/DDA or whatever and when I can no hit guys into the 6th and 7th inning and make them look absolutely foolish yet suddenly can turn on inside 102mph fastballs and hit change ups way out of the bottom of the zone to tie or take the lead. Then obviously their friend hands the controller back as they go back to being poor at hitting. Sometimes they will only have their friend pitch once I take the lead. I know this because beforehand pitches were in the meat of the zone but now that his confidence and energy are low they now can split the zone consistently 51/49% for a strike.

I do however think some of your friends may have a small bladder or something because I can come back in the 8th or 9th and actually win the game so your friend must be out of the room as this is happening or you need to pay them more to stick around longer than the third through seventh inning. So I would request a buddy with a larger bladder. The key is your friend never will allow the game to get out of hand it will always stay in striking distance. So please direct me to the closest place to get me one, much appreciated!!

Ha! I have definitely played games where I would swear the guy that that started the game and the guy who is playing at the end are definitely not the same!

Ranked is so frustrating, events are much more entertaining for the average to below average hitter.. it’s fun to actually hit the ball and not have a majority of games be 2-1 type games

The post is a bit tongue and cheek and over the top. I also believe the game needs RNG. Just be a bit tilted more to fair. The game does tend to keep games close. I’ve been on both ends. I have played plenty of games that I know the guy is blasting the ball and I should be mercied yet there I am with a chance to win in the ninth.

I grew up in the NES era so I guess I’m use to understanding that you got to keep trying if you want to pass a level or win the game. NES had games that you sat there for three hours and if you ran out of lives too bad, start over from the beginning. Nintendo basically put two middle fingers in the air at you and said git gud. You know what? You took it on the cheek and tried again.

Majority of younger gamers mentality are not that way anymore. They couldn’t handle a no memory game. So I see why there is hand holding in sport games. It just gets frustrating at times as you know when it’s a fair game, when your opponents is being helped at times, and also when your hand is being held. I’m fine with getting my teeth kicked in. It shows my place and doesn’t give me false hope.

As a terrible player myself with an old television, I can only say that anyone can get lucky. If your opponent is looking for a 102 fastball up and in everytime, then yes one of those times they are going to turn on it and hit it a mile, they might even do it several times a game. I played one guy a couple of days ago and he was sitting on down and out fastball. I threw it four times all game and he hit everyone of them for a HR. The rest of the time he was striking out, so it happens.
