Events vs. RS

These are all just theories, but I would guess a combination of
Even though they are 99 squads in events, a lot of people can't use their main ranked rotation, hitting 99 Gerrit Cole is so much easier than hitting 99 Sale or 99 Kersh.
You play a wide variety of people, not people close to your ranked, you could be playing someone that just doesn't understand pitching and wouldn't even be near your rank if it was ranked seasons, so you tee off those guys.
People don't care as much in events, I know I play more casually in events than I do ranked, ranked I am dialed in, events I play if I just want to sit back and play without worrying to much about losing.
Again, I'm not saying those are the sole causes or anything, just a few things off the top of my head that are different.
Eatyum captured some stuff pretty well, and i agree in general that it is much easier to hit in events than RS.....
When I play events , I never use my prestige pitchers, or top pitchers...I am either trying to get guys prestiged, or trying out different guys to see if I should use them in RS ( and don’t worry if things don’t go my way)... Just today I was using Burnett as he is one of the last guys I have to prestige ...and he was getting hammered in the first....I looked at my bullpen to see who I dad in as I didn’t choose or change anyone but Burnett when I started and stuck Seaver in....game changed immediately....
I don’t think most people go all out in events, many are using only cards left to prestige, as well as not being as focused......especially at this point when most have all the rewards from the prior two events.
Been some theories that SDS manipulated the sliders in these too, but who knows... coors event was absolute absurdity.

My theory is that events are on the server side, real seasons are P2P. It affects the timing.

Part of it could be because pitcher energy is depleting faster with the shortened game duration. Pitcher tired = bigger batter PCI earlier on in the game.
There are thoughts SDS toys with the timing windows and batting sliders as well.
I believe this has some merit as well, also if you’re basing any of this on quick counts then count leverage will favor outcome as well.

I guess I'm in the minority but the ball seems like it's going faster in the Event... Or I just need to lock in and stop being a biznatch.

Although it's not anything that can be confirmed or quantified, I just played a half dozen event games facing the usual goon pitchers - Pearson, DeGeom, etc - and then played RS in the 500 range, and the RS pitches seemed way faster. I have a feeling the pitch speeds are a tiny bitt slower in the event.

Let me guess...they hit every singly pitch that you threw out of the strike zone (no matter how far and fast it was and you could probably screen shot a few but didn't) and they hit it far! Just how??? Then every single swing you take has "Good" swing timing and is a pop fly or pop out. Welcome to The Show. Just remember this when 2021 comes out and you find yourself playin the same exact game you played in 2020 with just better graphic results.

Did you read my post, or just want to rant in general as it makes no sense as a reply to anything I stated?

Worse players and tired pitchers
-
Most event games are 3-6 innings or quick counts. Pitcher energy starts lower, and is depleted at a faster rate. For example, Pitching in the 2nd inning with your starter in an event game is the equivalent to pitching in the 6th during a RS game on average. Everything is divided by 3. Every out in this game is a full inning compared to RS. If this doesn’t make sense I can try to explain better.

I suck so I mostly use events to Prestige players, especially pitchers. Example: I left Rivera in today for three innings. He got shelled in the second inning he worked but I need inning to prestige him so he took one for the team. Lol
