If you only play on all star use zoom or strikzone 3, if you sometimes play on hof use strike zone or srikezone high 100% of the time

Not a matter of money, just principle. I should not need a special monitor to play online.
It's not needed. It's just the way hardware and technology works. It's not mandatory, just recommended if you want to have the best experience playing your PS4. If your TV is that old it just seems you'd have an all around better experience playing on something a little more current.
