I just sit 3 feet away from a 60 inch t.v. And hope I haven’t drank too much and fallen asleep while playing. I’m not very competitive in the game but using a monitor maybe be what I need.

I'm cracked now I went 9-0 last night, 3-0 in ranked, and 6-0 in br. Getting a monitor is the best thing you can do to play better. I've never made WS or gone 12-0, but going off of the way I played yesterday, I think a monitor could break that wall for me!
If anyones wondering what moniter, its and ASUS VG245H (about $160)
Sweet Jesus son ! You are dealing with these noobs the savage way. Keep going son.

That is the same monitor I got years ago when I started using a monitor on this game. Didnt see the difference you did, but I went from a fairly modern TV to the Monitor. But it definitely makes you zone in more and if you are going from an older, laggier TV it is night and day.

I went back to my 55" Samsung KS8000 last week, getting ready for Cyberpunk 2077. I decided to play some BR for fun, see how it went after playing on a monitor for years. Went 9-0 and had no issues with timing whatsoever. On paper the TV is a tad bit slower (~22-23ms input lag compared to ~17ms input lag on the fastest BenQ monitor), but in reality I hardly noticed a difference. And the picture quality of my TV is a gazillion times better than the TN panel monitor (fast but horrible picture quality), so it was even easier to pick up the ball.
Either way that's just something I wanted to share. A monitor does help if you came from an awfully slow TV. But it's also a tad overrated if your TV is able to have input lag under ~30ms.

Unfortunately not, I'm playing on the PS4 Pro.

Was just wondering. Since MLB TS 20 isnt optimized for PS 5 I have no reason to play it on my monitor anymore. It is smooth as silk on 4k TV with HDR. Hoping for 120FPS mode on 1080P in 21. For Monitor.

Well normally I would choose performance over graphics. But it doesn't seem to matter all that much in the game's current state. I do play on "faster" despite my TV being 4K and HDR supported. All that stuff adds extra input lag though and that could push it too far up. This way my PS4 Pro outputs 3840x2160 - 60Hz but the game runs on 1080p so it's basically only getting a visual upscale which doesn't hurt the performance. So it looks better and plays about the same.

That is exactly what I did with my PS4 Pro. Now I play on sharper. Night and day difference. I would never try the sharper graphics on PS4 Pro lol.

Reading this just made me want to look up the stats on my 10 year old 60 inch LG tv. But I'm kind of afraid to see just how bad it is....

Good [censored]! I ordered my first one ever off amazon a LG 32 inch 4K 1ms input. Excited for it to get here and see the difference. Playing in a 48 inch 2016 Visio tv right now

I don't know the stats on my old TV, but I bought a monitor in August and my OPS since then is about 200-300 points better each season than it was before. I immediately noticed a huge difference in that when I pressed "swing" my batter actually swang right away. Pitches I could never in my life catch up to on my old tv I'm early on nowadays on my monitor. It made a huge difference for me.
