I was getting destroyed by Paxton for 7 or 8 innings, but once he switched pitchers, he lost. I came back and won it in the 8th and 9th. So satisfying.

Not as bad as the player that swings at every single pitch, has 1 hit and 18ks through 7, then gets a bloop single, an error and a home run to beat you.

    This.

1- Opponent can’t hit for [censored] in the 7 innings
    2- Opponent starts taking pitches
3- Opponent gets a lucky hit
    4- Opponent draws a walk
    5- Opponent hits a HR.

At least I’m not rage quitting anymore. Now I just quit peacefully

    🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your comment is silly. Almost every game it takes me 3-5 innings to figure pitchers out. In real baseball this happens all the time. That's why they show pitchers stats that always worsen 2nd and 3rd time through orders.

You let a pitcher like Paxton destroyed you mentally? Understandable. Have a nice day.

It’s so easy to read at this point it’s unreal. Ton of foul balls, check swinging everything not in the zone, getting an early/late hit. Same routine for the next batter until I aim a pitch way out of the zone and it goes down the middle for a bomb

I have two moves. One is to start out patient, work counts and take an early lead, before swinging at everything wildly and pitching without thinking in the mid to late stages after I have a lead, thereby blowing the game and losing.

My other move is the one you describe in OP, swing like a drunkard at every pitch for 6-7 innings before realising time is running out, I’m playing like a moron and convincing myself to focus. I then snatch an unlikely win from the jaws of defeat occasionally.

I like it when the oppenent wins without hitting a ball more than 200ft. Nothing but bloops and slow choppers that find the holes. And the moving strike zone helps too. Can’t wait to see the complaints XBOX users have for this game.

This happened to me just now. On a side note, my opponent was home and we were playing in laughing mountain and I couldn’t pick up Paxton’s release because of that white thing on the background. Was this just coincidence or did he choose that park with all the intention?

Dont forget about fatigue...and losing velocity and break on pitches. If it takes one or two innings...why do teams destroy bullpen guys? According to your theory you should bring in a new pitcher every inning since it takes 2-3 innings to get adjusted. Then the team cant get settled in...

Also if it takes 2-3 innings to settle in on a pitcher in a video game your guess hitting and trying to figure out his pattern instead of sitting on a pitch or recognizing that one hittable fastball your gonna get every at bat.
