Am I missing something with the new event?

Everyone I play seems to be going super hard. The rewards blow... So it should be a prestigefest no? All I'm playing is guys who are trying really really really hard. Is there some other reward coming?

Most casual players gone. Only hardcore meatheads left. Ive had some weird play recently. People quitting when winning, bunting every at bat. Its odd.

Yeah the casual crowd is long gone now that the new CoD is out.

I played a guy who quit after two innings when it was 0-0. I wasn’t hitting for [censored] (no surprise there) and my bullpen was done. Guess he didn’t get his hits with his prestige guys and bounced.

Doubt it. He was probably trying to prestige his pitchers

I don't understand when people are saying that people are trying really hard in the event. Should they just be throwing the ball down the middle and get out on purpose when hitting? I genuinely want to know what that means or why that would be bad?

So, i get grinding rs, lots of players trying for mays... but guys are grinding this event... 30 pitches only 5 strikes, trying to paint corners over and over, switching pitchers to fresh ones constantly... slowing down the game, bunt dancing to try and throw you off... i could care less about wins here. Im jumping in to get reps for prestige. So yeah i can sit there and get walked, or struck out looking on one that catches an edge, but i try to throw strikes more in events. Battery dies quick on these pitchers... so guys are throwing junk, then just bringing in more pitchers. You can play that way, im most likely quitting, and you have youre win thst really foesnt get you anything...

Kopech is one of the few starting pitchers in the game with the outlier fastball quirk. He was hard to hit early in the game. So he’s desirable at this stage still.

Yeah. I usually average like a 10-2 record in events averaged out as far as you want to go. Think I’m like 9-5 and a bunch of my wins have been legit close games. It’s hard to win in this event. The noobs are gone. It’s lifers now. Also, all star is torture.
Pitching on all star makes me hate the game. Hitting is fun obviously, but pitching is so bad.
