Directional?

Is everyone using directional hitting now? I just played a game and my opponent was timing everything perfect with majority being perfect hits even when I’m hitting the corners perfect.

Sounds like you played a goon, nobody using directional is going to get a ton of perfects if you are dotting the corners.
Directional is not some magical OP input. Can it help out players who would suck with zone? Absolutely. Can it turn someone into a perfect/perfect machine? Absolutely not.

This literally sounds like the opposite of directional

Posts like this are the reason I always laugh when people swear they can tell when an opponent is using directional. Getting smacked around by an opponent doesn't mean they were using directional, especially when you're dotting corners.
Just think about it logically for a second. Wouldn't it make more sense if your opponent was getting perfect contact because they were using zone to place the PCI where your pitch was? Can't do that with directional.
The much more likely scenario here is that you ran across someone who is VERY good at tracking pitches and adjusting the PCI, and/or you were much more predictable than you thought you were. If every pitch up and in is a fastball and down and in is a change up, it doesn't take a genius to get the timing down and sit on a single location.

Over a span of several games, the randomness of one’s contact results would definitely not consist of constant perfect perfects. However, during one game, a person using directional, could very easily have seemingly multiple perfect perfects in a row. Every contact result is a dice roll. And who’s to say this dude’s opponent didn’t roll a bunch of sevens at the craps table that is this game.

What isn’t? Multiple perfect perfects in a row, or a string of “seemingly” perfect perfects? Now I agree with you if the OP was literally saying the dude was knocking perfects one right after the other, but you do agree that his opponent could, while using directional, have a lengthy string of very hard hit balls with a smattering of perfect perfects mixed in, yes? When ever I read something like the original post, I infer, maybe incorrectly, that he just means that the dude starting smacking the [censored] out of the ball.

Idk... I’ve tried directional in missions and it seems useless, zone is much easier and rewarding and the user doesn’t have to rely on random RNG
