I vaguely remember in a previous edition they mentioned a +5/-5% boost for a hot/cold Zone, not sure. if it still applies

I thought it was offline only.

Is it? Still weird though isn't it, that they give the hottest player in the postseason a card with cold zones only. While giving him attributes that say the contrary. Very confusing.

They have a very minimal affect on the RNG side of things. I don't think there is a good rhyme or reason to them either.

I mean, he is bashing the CPU on rookie for me in this conquest map. That is the truest test for a card. 😉

So you’re saying that a card with max stats that you haven’t used yet is bad because of is hot/cold zone? Pointless thread if you have no proofs...

This is how they "secretly" nerf a card with insane hitting stats. This stuff matters more than you think. Shame, card looked fantastic on paper.

I was surprised when I tested him out in a conquest game, and the entire zone came up blue...

I think I read that those hot/cold zones only have an effect on the CPU’s hitting. But it’s pretty likely that that was just baseless speculation. SDS is not good at telling us how their game works, so it’s probably just anybody’s guess if they mean anything.

No, You’re right...Those are just for vs cpu games. If they aren’t then who do we all bat .300 with our pitchers? 😂

I have absolutely no clue what this series of sentences is supposed to mean.

Sorry, Typos....You are correct. The hot/cold zones are only in effect in offline games vs the cpu. This can be seen clear as day by watching how we can all bat very well with pitchers in h2h games.

I don’t use them online and I rarely play vs cpu. The fact that they’re displayed in H2H play makes me wonder though. Anyone from SDS have a firm answer? @Victor_SDS

Gotcha. I can’t hit with my pitchers (or my position players, for that matter) in h2h (....... or in offline...... I suck).

I have always heard those meant absolutely nothing in online play. That was more so to show the hitters tendencies in real life. I dont even know if those zones matter vs CPU.

But to your point, I have no idea why one card can absolutely rip with so so hitting atts then another with insane atts it is like hitting a role of wet TP. It is more than the swing that is for sure. Just not sure what.

This 99 definitely has better results, but not this matters even the moment to hit a home run with him was buns. Maybe we’re not used to his swing yet? Idk

Feels like it has zero affect during hall of fame conquest games. He mashes CPU thankfully.

I was watching rebel use him and I don’t think I’m a fan of the swing based on what I saw. Gonna try him out tho eventually if I can psych myself up to do all those moments and missions

I hit two perfect perfect fly balls that were caught at the track ( nice 125-125 attributes) , as well as who knows how many other warning Track balls.

Worst homer in moment ever for me as I can usually get them in a 2-3 tries max.

Cant hit a Homer with him to save my life on those moments. Either a walk or a hard hit liner. Cannot get any lift. If he is like this H2H then I will pass lol.

I had the same problem, that's why those cold zones caught my eye. I was squaring up everything in the moment and it was just weak contact after weak contact. Now I know moments are weird in that regard, but I haven't had to use the power swing in moments all year long up until this point.
