Have wanted Larry since the moment he came out, obviously one of the better overall cards in the game.

Finally decided to give the 5th inning showdown a go, got it and chose Walker....now I am a little hesitant on whether or not I should just take the stubs or use him.

My current outfield of Mantle, Cobb and Edmonds has been absolutely ripping for me lately...I really can't see Walker being THAT much more of an upgrade over Edmonds in RF. Not to mention I have Honus as backup. Do you think it's worth selling Larry and continue to work on getting Trout or is Larry really that big of a game changer?

Depends on how close you are to trout. Trout is probably the best outfielder in the game so if this will get you really close it’s probably worth the sale. If you will still be a long way off then I’d keep walker. I think he is easily a top 5 outfielder and possibly a top 3. I will eventually sit him for mays but even Griffey won’t bump him out for me. I have mantle trout and walker now.

Normal Larry Walker was a beast for me

    .337/.418/.514

    His prestige

.269./.321/.437, I couldn't get it going with him.

He's good, but not a must have at this point

I guess I could always stick him in the lineup for a few games and see how he does....just won't lock him in. Never once in all the years of playing The Show have I had or used a Trout, so I'm kinda jacked up at the opportunity of getting closer to the MVP.

If he can contribute towards Cobb, Mantle, or Trout, sell. Otherwise keep him.

Trout, Mantle, Cobb, Walker, Griffey and Mays when he comes out will be your very best outfielders IMO.

So for me , Walker is my best hitter and I think he blows Edmonds away. Now Trouts numbers have really underwhelmed me BUT I figured something out the other night... I seem to get Dashboarded way more with Trout than any other player. Maybe it's because of where I hit him, maybe it's because everyone knows he's a prestige card... But I'm only hitting like .280 with him and I would say I've lost at least 1/3 of his homeruns to dashboards. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true, it's also why I can't seem to make a lot of progress with him, I'm almost as far to prestige with Gehrig and I've had Trout same week as his debut.

Mantle isn't going anywhere and it would be hard for me to pull out Walker however with Grif dropping, and now the WS Randy card.. I don't think you'd really miss Walker. The other way to go is to keep Walker and sell Grif... The thing to remember is that Walker is a natural right fielder, you're going to get some stat drop playing all CF's in the OF.

I'll probably go trout, mantle, Grif in the OF and see how it goes, but I may actually end up pulling Trout for Walker as crazy as that may sound.

Same here. Prestige plays below SS. Strange.

I struggled with Walker at first, and was tempted to sell him many times. Now, there's no way I sell him. I still struggle with MVP Trout and found that I'm better with lefties because I'm a lefty in real life. As strange as that seems, its true. Tatis, Trout, etc,
I did sell Foxx, a righty, because I stunk with him. Sold him to get Mantle.
