Has anyone ever won a rundown against CPU?
-
Just curious. Wherever I'm doing moments where you have to get XBHs or something similar I always get into a rundown if I don't get a clear XBH, just to see if I can win it. I never have once. The CPU always has perfect throws and never gets fooled. Has anyone ever won one?

Legend tells of a man who once did it. They say he was using Yasmani Grandal and he outran Honus Wagner. It was a spell ago, but there are still fellas who were there to see it happen. Ohhhh how his fingers danced along the buttons and how he manipulated the joystick as if he were pleasing a lover for the last time on God’s green earth. The back and forth lasted a might good 10 minutes, or so they’ll tell you. Some men don’t believe it anymore. They’ll tell you it’s just the tales they used to tell children back in the Old World. Me? I believe it. Hell, if you can’t believe in magic happening on earth, then our days are just a little bit darker.

Never ever. It's a joke.
You can compare that with beating the house in Vegas. You have no shot!I did pickoff the CPU. Once.

Tbh I’m mostly ok with a huge nerf against the runner in rundowns. Anyone who is of a certain age probably remembers playing baseball games in the SNES era, and how easy it was to cheat by inducing rundowns and then fooling the brainless CPU. So I’m fine with a rundown being essentially an automatic out. What I do NOT like, Sam I am, is how incredibly long it takes runners who round a base to stop and go back. So if I briefly briefly consider turning a double into a triple, I pretty much have to commit because the base runner is going to stop for donuts and a quickie before going back to second.

That's the truth. I know on Bases Loaded, as long as you got on you could turn it into a Little League Homerun.

NO. That would happen in the same game that the ump rang up a CPU batter on a check swing...which is Never!!!
