I realize the team is knee-deep in development but I figure a late suggestion couldn't hurt.

There's been plenty of caterwauling about offliners having limited access to Prestige cards. I think I may have a solution.

Next year, whenever you lock in the 3 inning bosses, you could receive a choice pack that contains the 3 prestige versions of those bosses. You could pick one and thus bypass the prestige program for that card. This allows offliners to obtain the prestige cards AND still keeps the requirement that one must lock-in that particular boss before acquiring the souped-up version (since you're locking in all 3).

If this option is too rich, you could include the inning voucher as a choice in the pack, thus giving players the choice of selecting EITHER a prestige card OR the voucher and the next-inning stars.

I think this compromise keeps the integrity of prestige cards while expanding their population reasonably.

    Thoughts?

It doesn’t eliminate the basic problem of prestige cards, that is, that people will boost to get the stats anyway and that people are going to dashboard out of spite to deny people the stats they require to prestige cards online. They need to make prestige cards obtainable either via stats that you do online or offline. I would agree that All-Star be required to earn them offline, but as long as you have online requirements, the basic problem will always be present.

They should do away with being able to Prestige a card.

Take away the option AND you take away the boosting.

I don’t hate the fact that the prestige aspect gives you something to do once you obtain a card like Trout, Mantle or Sheffield. It seems a little long winded though, it took me months to prestige Trout and I’ve still not managed to prestige Mantle, Sheffield or Biggio and I only play online. Obviously I didn’t boost.

I just don't like how you take the time I get a card for the sole purpose of playing with that card. Then after you hit a certain stat limit; they give you another version of said card and you start all over.

Now if there was a way to just give the current card a 'boost' or even a continuous IE aspect; then fine.

Ex: I don't play online enough to Prestige someone. So say I finally nget Mantle prestiged around Feb.

I now have to 'start over' with the new card if I want that extra 'boost'.

Yeah and how many of us have had great stats with a card only to lock them in for the upgraded prestige version and have the opposite experience? I know it’s happened to me with a few cards, lol.

I enjoy the prestige aspect, but if they are going to limit the goals to online only, cut back the requirements a tad. Pitchers have been fairly easy to prestige, but most hitters are ridiculous. I’ll be lucky to prestige Gehrig by the end of the cycle and he was a card released later in the year. No reason for a card to be that difficult to prestige with a few months remaining in the games lifespan.
