Cheaters. Can we block players to avoid them?
-
Theres a guy that lags every game, vs everyone he plays. Unplayable lag. Then pauses when hes at bat towards late innings, and leaves for a min. Comes back. And its smooth as butter. And he usually gets hits or runs. Rinse repeat. Every time. I know many ppl that would just like to avoid this toxic [censored].

How are you playing the same guy enough times to come to the conclusion that he’s cheating?
-
I’ve played punks that did that. Waste of time, felt like that game took forever. Brutal. And most of them sucks
-
To answer your question. No. There is no way to block the person. Honestly if the lag is that bad just quit. Losing points isn’t the end of the world. Why waste time if you are enjoying the experience

Having the ability to block players you have already played at least once is a fantastic idea. Plus it would give SDS a way to track the players who are getting blocked the most and then investigate whether they are indeed cheating. Great idea, @MicroM3dia_Xb. Do this, @SDS_Jax!

The issue with this, is that it will be abused. There's no way a system like this could avoid abuse. players would use it to never face off against better players more than once, and it would result in some legitimately skilled players getting significantly longer queue times as punishment for a sin they did not commit. These kinds of systems always get abused in these kinds of ways. It's why most devs don't put them in

Could you imagine how many people would block guys like Pitching Rebel and anyone else at the top of the leaderboard just so they don't run into them? This is a terrible idea.

How does somebody cause lag?
I played a game last night where the lag when I was pitching was awful. For the most part it was just annoying, but a couple times it caused me to miss a pitch or have slow reaction on a hit. It happened throughout the game and only that game. The rest of the night things were "normal".
