Hmmm...maybe my internet connection improved then I guess, but I always hit 300+ mbps download 12 upload. I dunno, I've never seen good timing on swings and misses and now it's all I see.

Pitching has def not been fixed, and hitting hasn't been changed.
If you use directional you are quite literally in the hands of RNG, sometimes it'll be good, sometimes it'll be bad, but they haven't changed anything, you're obviously going through a bad RNG spell.

Nah, the hats distract the signal they are using to steal your thoughts. My tin foil hat has been in the shop, but should get it back this weekend.

Online play , If a pitcher keeps hitting his spots, how can u succeed on directional, I find it Impossible...Especially on Hall of fame.

I mean, that's the way it should be though, there is a disadvantage to using directional, that's the risk you take using it, directional shouldn't be able to overcome effective pitching.

Nah, sadly it’s the same as always. I’m really, really interested to see the big reveals for ‘21 in terms of changes to pitching and generating more swings and misses. If there are none and it’s all about how rewarding hitting is going to be compared to previous versions (Like this years streams were), I’ll probably cry.

Same, I don't think it would be an issue if hitting did get more rewarding, but if it got more rewarding and pitching stayed the same, that's a nightmare waiting to happen

When I go onto Zone, I can move the PCI all I want and it never moves from the center of the plate unless I go early or late. I can go to Zone and PCI against the CPU on Legend and I'll have no issues. It's the on-line that is killing me. It's quite embarrassing losing to silver and bronze teams with low level diamond hitters, but it is what it is, some people are just better. I just don't get it. I've gone into practice mode on Zone and have no problem, the second I play online it's no holds barred and I get my [censored] handed to me. I've never seen Good/Good before (like literally never until this past weekend) and it's all I get the past few days. I dunno. I give up at this point. The only way I can stay consistent on-line is to go on directional and pick up the timing as the game goes on and hope for the best. If you're looking for an easy win I'm on right now looking to get ca-ca kicked out of me...lol

They haven't fixed anything about pitching for at least a year as "forced pitches over the middle of the plate" was a problem even last year in MLB19.

No improvements, no patch updates related to pitch accuracy issues. Aside from check-swinging, pitch accuracy is arguably one of the worse features of gameplay.
But you're entitled to think what you want.

Directional is fine for against the cpu but it’s not a viable online option anymore. It used to be but after SDS had that summit with all the sony partners after The Show 18 - They all whined & complained about directional hitting as the biggest problem in the game. Then when 19 came out it was useless online. I’m sure you’ve experienced swinging right through a center of the strike zone meatball despite perfect timing. Yeah, You gotta practice & learn zone my man - It’s the only real option.

I was bad at it too but found a setup that works...I make the outer zone permanent & make the inner zone & middle invisible. The pci now takes up 2/3 of the zone & I have a much easier time tracking the ball & crushing it.
