uniform number changing

I created a 1B and gave him the number 18. He had 18 in the showcase and all of the minor leagues. Then he got to the majors and he is in his rookie year. They assigned him 26 then changed to 22 now it is 24. He is only in early may. Why does his number keep changing? It makes no sense. In real; baseball when they assign a number you have it for the season. The only time you change is if they get a big time player in trade or FA and he wants that number. This another example of SDS being totally stupid to real baseball.

Yeah I’ve noticed they give players with the higher rating priority when it comes to assigning numbers. I even seen existing star players numbers change if a higher rated player with the same number gets traded to their team. It’s another quality of life issue they need to change.
