    Hello All!!!

I'm really excited for the latest event and I'm planning to grind forever to grab the new 99 Goose card.

The max for your team in this event is 96. When I enter the the event to see my eligible cards and set my lineup my team is at a 98 and I can't get it down to a 96.

I've replaced most of my pitchers with lower diamonds, and made my bench almost all common cards, (I know that's a horrible strategy, I was just trying to get my overall team rating down.)

Can any of you share your strategy for setting your roster and lineup within the limits??

    Thanks!

You don’t need 5 top notch starters as you won’t use them. You can probably get by with three 98-99 level guys, a 4th around 90 and than a garbage 62.

Bullpen, maybe 3-4 guys mid to high 90s than round out with the best guys in the upper 80s.

Lineup can be mostly 99s and a couple 96-97 guys, than bench can be a couple guys in 90s, maybe 1-2 in 80s, and another garbage guy ( just round out with hitters in both sides as well as speed and power. ). That should get you the best 96 team.

But man, the goons are out in this event. Almost every game seems to be WS and Flawless banners guys or very good near WS guys. They crush the ball on All Star

Thanks for the tips! I'll give this a try and see if I can get the team rating down and still have some monsters to play with.

The new Goose card looks insane on paper, and from what I've seen he was a favorite last year. A lot of people will be playing this event, and I think the first handful to put him on the market are going to get rich.

I use three starters, 2 63-63 sp, then remove two relievers an put 2 65 or below. 3 poor bench bats and my lineup is mantle, lou, yeli 99, stan, tatis, correea potm, biggio, 99 jose ram and dont have a problem. if I get past 3 wins and my first starter isnt ready ill just use pen guys or just throw the guy anyways. idc about losing more for the prestige grind. sucks I need 10 k with maddux and this all star setting isnt ideal but trying my best

Use one starter u want to prestige, the bullpen has plenty of good arms below 90, and he’ll the topps now cards are [censored] good choices. I struggled last year my 1st in DD with this. Now I just fiddle until I get the right line up

I like to add 79 Biggio as my second catcher in case I'm in a position where I need to sub speed with my starting catcher. Think a slow catcher on 2nd or 3rd and need a run or two in the 5th or 6th.

This is incredibly accurate. I’m a super casual player with this game and was hoping to play at my skill level for at least a few games. Nope - I get lined up against guys with banners and badges I’ve never even seen they are so good.

I made it through the first inning allowing only a single to one of them - my biggest event highlight so far! Haha

Would be cool if there were tiered events for different levels of play. Guys like me couldn’t earn Gossage, but maybe another set of slightly lesser cards that mean something to me but not to the elite. Sort of like a dynamic DD setting based on rank, your online stats, etc.

I’m not complaining, it would just be fun to play one game where I can compete against other casual guys at my level and not against the sick players on here.
