Check swings need a limit, past 2 ranked opponents have had 30+ check swings each might be reaching but I have batter analysis pictures.

For sure. I’ve definitely been on both sides of this. I don’t think they should get rid of it completely, but success rates need to be adjusted for sure

Is there somewhere that actually shows the amount of CS they do or do you just keep track

You can go to batter analysis and you can actually go to results I think and it will show you how many.

And that’s totally fine, but the point being is that check swings are called safe 80% or more of the time which is just ridiculous
Tell me the last time you saw a major league at bat that featured 3-5 check swings...rarely if ever. In this game? All the time

Corrected as in calling check swings, actual swings more often? Seems like that shouldn’t be hard to do. Not asking for the extreme of removing check swings but it’s obvious that check swinging is totally [censored]

I’m not saying we need to take it out of the game. I’m with you on it staying cause it is part of the game. Now when you’re check swinging all game and only get called 5-10% of the time that’s some bull. I’m just saying they need to do something about how successful they are.

I very seldom see a swing get checked with the umpires. I see a lot of bats start to go but dont. i dont consider them check swings. When I played real baseball i moved my bat every pitch pretty much. Probably what you would consider a "check swing". It was a timing thing. So unless they are really bringing their bat around I just see it as a batter batting. If they start checking down to the umpires then it gets frustrating but I dont see that so much.
Problem I see more than any is you CANNOT check swing when you actually want to and I even have times I mash the button and they dont take a complete swing.
