Then maybe SDS should rethink prestige players online only.

Yeah this has been a problem and a hot topic all year long. It sucks.

He dashboarded before it landed. It sucks but welcome to childish people.
People will do what they do, this is on the game. They have to consider this stuff when making requirements.

I dont know much about coding and game design but is there a way for the game to differentiate between a quit and so.eone dashboarding? If there is why don't they just implement something that automatically bans people for a day or 2 for daahbpardong and the penalty gets more extreme the more you do it?
Probably just wishful thinking but if there is a way for the program to recognize a difference between the 2 this could help.

Even taking away online stats won’t stop people from getting butthurt and rage quitting. Sucks they can’t really do anything because technically you could say their internet went out which it didn’t
-
You think people dashboarding to prevent prestiging is bad?
I'm old enough to remember 2017, where in order to get the top Griffey card you had to get 4H/1 HR with a depowered Griffey card and your opponent would always quit out after you got your 3rd hit.

There is currently no way for the game to distinguish between a dashboard versus a legitimate disconnect (ex. power outage). As far as the game is concerned, the connection was lost, end of story. This would have to be done at the PS4 system level (by Sony), but it could probably still be circumvented fairly easily.
They need to make stat grinds like Prestige offline as well (with higher numbers) or implement 30 min bans for disconnects, regardless of cause.
And yes I have horribly unreliable internet.

Yea I hear you . This game is hard enough as it is and then you finally get a stat for your guy and the DBAG dashboards. Such a gut punch. I dont know a solution just really sux

Agree. In this era of backlash against price tags for services and pay-to-win stuff, they could at least offer offline objectives for prestige programs.

in the bottom of the first inning. I get "Lost connection with opponent" I look to see if the HR counted for Tatis Jr, and it didn't. Why?
Same happened to me...Hit a bomb with Posada and the guy hit the dashboard button, didn't count...don't play the game if you don't know how to handle a homer...
