The whole point of the market average limit was to stop stub transfers, according to SDS.
Stub transfers definitely still occurred last year. Maybe at a lower rate, but I still remember people pointing out very obvious examples of it taking place.
Definitely happend, mostly with team icons and banners but I saw it too.

That just reminded me of something from early on in 19. Some guy was arguing with me because someone spent 10's of thousands of stubs on some icon, and he was adamant in the fact that it wasn't a stub transfer and someone just wanted it really badly.

Lmao 4-5k sure I could see it. But 10k+? No way it isn't a transfer.

Bro I remember that too, good times.
The best posts on here are always when people try to plead innocence after they blatantly broke the rules.

What if they put a cap on what you could sell them for?
500 for common, 1000 for bronze up to 1 million for diamonds.
It'll eliminate stub transfers and the need for the market average. -

It'll eliminate stub transfers and the need for the market average. But kills flipping simultaneously. Diamonds are the stub transfers

I don't think there is much success transferring stubs on diamond players. Maybe icons or bat skins. It's more likely a common that no one really wants then sells for 50k.

That's what I'm referring to. People were doing transfers on icons and nameplates, highest I saw was 320k. I even started listing them for upwards of 10k taking advantage of the situation, worked too.

Limit the icons and nameplates less than player cards. The million was meant on players.

Ah I see what you mean. Honestly if they're banning players for transfers then there's no need for a ceiling at all. Let em transfer and ban imo.

Of course people still did it or attempted it but unfortunately we will never know if they were eventually found out and banned for it.
If many of us can see the obvious occurrences of it just by using the market website, then I have to believe that SDS could, or should have a daily query that runs to look for cards that sell for significantly more than their average, especially if it was a single occurrence.

That would be great, except I did what you said. Posted a few commons that I saw for high amounts without being a part of the stub transfer process and got banned for a couple weeks either last year or the year before. I thought this was kosher coming from the sniping mentality from Madden.
So, there isn't a way for them to know who is or is not actually transferring stubs.
