Showdown Extreme Tips
-
Well, just wrapped up The Showdown portion of the Extreme Program. Luckily, I got it on the first try! I know some might be struggling with this right now, so thought all who have completed it could offer a few words of wisdom on this thread...
My number one tip would be to WORK THE COUNT. The cpu WILL walk you. I try to get the perk that gives you a contact boost with 2 strikes and I never swing until I get 2 strikes on me.
Also, try to have at least one super fast bench guy that you can pinch run when you get the winning run on base. Now I guess I’m off to take on Conquest. Those moments look pretty dang tough. We’re in for quite the weekend haha. Best of luck on your EXTREME endeavors fellas, we’ll get through this together!

when do you face Pearson? Hopefully late in the showdown because even in veteran showdown I can't [censored] hit his fastball. That is my weakest link. If a pitcher throws 98+ they can throw in down the middle and I will still miss 90% of the time.

im sorry but this has been the strat since launch. its helpful but for the ones who have been doing this is just another walk in the park

I just finished the five mini bosses and have Pearson waiting...will wait until tomorrow when fresh.....any specific tips for facing him in last challenge....is his fastball as hard to hit as Feller’s ( he was my last mini boss and that was pretty brutal.... I drew about 5 walks than one on a suicide squeeze with 2 outs left).

Just be patient. Sit on a pitch, I personally sit high fastball.

I’m the same. Can’t hit a 100mph+ fastball unless I guess right. I don’t think Pearson will be kind to me in this Showdown... have yet to decide if I’m even going to try.

Is Nate Pearson always the last boss?? Or does it vary? Just want to know whether I should stack heavy left or what

Pearson is final boss, pretty sure the pitcher prior varies from Feller or Sale.

Thanks man

Do you guys just skip to final boss or actually try to go through to the end??

Pearson was easier to hit than feller for me

I just lined out with Prestige Walker and flew out with Prestige Mantle tied 20-20 with 98 speed Trea Turner on 2nd to lose. FML

Just thought about this....I should play the "God Squad" in Extreme Moments to practice and see 99 Pearson before facing him in Extreme Showdown!

I got to 20-18 and Pearson was at about 205 pitches. Went in down 20-8 because I skipped Feller...
