Team Affinities?

What do you guys think about the setup?

1. I like the addition of new ways to gain affinity
2. I love that there are multiple levels.
3. I think the prospect is cool for the early reward
4. Not sure if I like the face of the franchise idea over a legend. Did it sound like all levels will be these type of cards? Or will the future levels be legends possibly?
5. I like that exchanges are gone. I’m probably the only one. But, I like that you can’t buy them and are forced to find different ways to appreciate the different teams.

It looks great, my biggest complaint last year was there really wasn't much once you got to 50 and it didn't matter more than a month or two later outside of the Honus collection.

It looked like there will be rewards to over 200 points this time so we got plenty more surprises coming throughout the year they said. I bet that's where they're hiding some more legends.

Yeah. And maybe after the first round is when they will add exchanges and things like that.

I agree with this up to a point. I don’t want there to be three or four cards at the end of the line of different teams that I want and feel the “need” to play MTO multiple times per team or something like that.

1. Exchanges are still part of TA it was hidden behind the video screen. I dont mind that as you when you lock in cards you then can't use them for exchanges so it wont be exploited that way speically via team collections

2. I really like the FOF series and I suspect into Series 2 you will see other higher level cards for example the Dimondbacks could get the 2018 POTM Peralta card. Lots of options for differnt cards with so many new series.

3. Team building has meaning all year now. I will do my Blue Jay's team build to start the year but can do it again after better Jays cards drop

4. The Topps now moments that featured a team will go towards the TA is a great move making completing those 2 times more valuable

Overall these changes seem really great on the surface and cant wait to get my hands on the TA and get working on them

I like the "face of the franchise" idea for the first level. If you're working on your team, it'll be so fun to get a player that you certainly love. And to answer your question OP, they did specifically say that the subsequent levels won't be "face of the franchise" so it should keep us interested in what gets rolled out next; legends or flashbacks or prospects or whatever!

They said something along the lines of “exchanging your rivals to weaken them” or something like that. Assuming that’s exchanging cards for team affinity
