I agree. I’d definitely prefer him over Jeter at least. Jeter just wouldn’t have good enough defense to be worth the collection.

Jeter would be a better early game reward. I see it being like the Michael young card, maybe a touch better pop. I also see him wanting big dollars for his rights, so idk if we even see him.

Would be much better as an inning reward or mid-game WS reward, and yeah I doubt he’s giving out any bargains

I think it has to be with the biggest names we haven't seen yet, like a Mantle or DiMaggio, although the latter was notoriously cheap and guarded after his career (he wanted to sue Simon & Garfenkul about that Mrs Robinson song).
But since the theme of MLB 20 is 90's-early 2000's, we should be expecting someone from that era. I have a tough time finding someone from that era that would fit the bill who's not already in the game. At least for positional players.

Longshot here, very unlikely. But they're focusing on 2000s and 90s. I'm going to go with one of the big 3 who haven't been in game yet. Bonds, McGuire, Sosa. Big names I grew up watching, would love to see Sosa more than anyone.

Lmao that's so true. I lived near Chicago as a kid, Frank Thomas (im a closet White Sox fan tbh) was my favorite player but Sosa was my #2.

Hard for me to imagine the devs making the LS collection reward a pitcher. It's one of their biggest early moneymakers on game release and I don't think they risk that spot on either a reliever or a card whose usage you can't really control.
See last year, Hornsby for NL, Pudge for AL, Mays for MLB. It'll be a position player, as well it probably should be.

Man, I get jealous when I see everyone ecstatic about Legends year after year. I want to feel that excited, and the only way I can see it happening is if Bonds is miraculously included in a version of the game. Only card that would put me over the moon like that.

Full disclosure: They could substitute Pete Rose instead of Bonds for NL, but they seem to be focusing on the more recent era.

Aaron possible, A-Rod probably not, Bonds, no way.
If they got Bonds, he would have been at very minimum showed in opening trailer, if not the cover boy. I'm sure they would have to put him on the cover on top of how ever much he would charge for his rights. He didn't even like his likeness being in as part of the MLBPA deal.

What is funny is I am sure they could get Rose easy, he will do about anything for money, but it's clear they want no part of that drama.
