If you've beat the 9-inning game and beat one of the 6-innings without much issue, you'll probably be fine for the remainder.

I'm a below average player - RS rank around 500 max - and I beat nearly all the moments in first or second try with my normal God-squad. The only game I ran a different team was the 9-inning game and I ran more speed and high contact.

I took my time, but I'd say it took me 5 or 6 evenings spread over a few consecutive weekends. When I tackled the HoF moments, I did one a night so I wouldn't get burned out on too much vs. CPU gameplay. Id say the toughest one for me was the HoF member with Mike Scott on the mound. Just couldn't read him as a pitcher.

The twins are pretty tough with Walter Johnson. Took me a good 7 tries. I am closing in on the AL west division so I am not done yet. Did the 9 inning hof game and working my way up.

I did the same, started at the bottom with the HOF games and worked my way up. It did get easier, with only a few hiccups, so there’s nothing you need to be really mindful of.

I’m going to say it took me 6-8 evenings. What I liked the most was finally getting to really use my DD team. With all the Moments, Showdowns, MTO, etc., sometimes I went whole weeks without touching my own squad.

Awards J.D, Fotf Smoltz, and Awards Story got me through it. JD had like 8 walk offs. Story had a few aswell. Smoltz was unhittable!

Thanks guys! I've completed all the HOF games tonight, but had to take a break. Now just the 30 team 3 inning games left! Hoping to grind more tomorrow on my day off!

Use your main guys you would want in a must win game. I used my best lineup I could think of it was cool having 99 Tatis for some of the games. I didn’t go speed heavy, I just went with the guys I knew could hit the ball for me. Jorge Posada was my most clutch guy.

Also, use your strongest starting pitcher and a trusty reliever. Who ever you want doing the pitching, make sure he is in your #1 spot. Pitchers don’t lose a lot of stamina in these games. The starter can usually go the distance, but sometimes it is necessary to pinch hit. I used Prestige Orel & POTM Edwin Diaz. I don’t trust Edwin in H2H, but he pitched lights out against the cpu. Pitching is key in the HoF games. When playing any game, if you give up a run in the 1st, just reset and try again. I didn’t like facing Smoltz for some reason, and you just have to realize Walter Johnson throws real fast or super slow. Just pick a spot and mash when it is pitched in that spot. Best of luck on the grind. The reward is well worth it.

I agree with lazy toast that Ruth is a must. I'm an average hitter at best at Babe is by far my best hitter. Hitting about .320 for me with a bunch of HR's and RBI's. One thing that helped me get through these a little quicker was to turn on pitch recommendations or whatever it's called in the settings. You can also hold in L2 I think, and your catcher will call for a particular pitch in a certain location. If you turn it on in the settings though then you won't have to waste time and hold down L2 before every pitch. I found that if you throw what the catcher is calling for and can hit your spots it will often times work. I had a lot of scoreless innings and held the CPU to very few runs throughout this entire grind. Plus, it takes some of the thinking out of what is already a long tedious grind and helps it go by faster. Normally I wouldn't do this but in this case i think it helps. Also, be patient at the plate. The CPU will walk it's share of batters and even hit a couple throughout the course of a game. They'll miss 3 feet off the plate and then lay a meatball right down the middle. Be patient, take your walks, and crush the pitches over the middle. I never do any of these programs and pretty much only play RS so playing the CPU took some getting used to. Once I kind of figured all this out it didn't take me long and I didn't loose very many at all.

Update: It for sure was a GRIND, but we got-er-done lady's and gentleman!!! The Great Bambino has been acquired!! Didnt get [censored] from the free packs, only diamond was Bregman, oh and a diamond stadium sorry lol and pulled mid tier from ducks pack. Went through my binder and cleaned out everything, and I almost have enough to buy Pudge. I'm only like 30 stars away from 300 and ill be picking Cobb. But anyway, can't wait to try out the Babe in my lineup!

Great tip. I honestly did not know you could turn on pitch recommendations. (I was using the L2 method.) I thought automatic recommendations only happened on Rookie and Veteran.

You’re looking at 15-20 hours to grind out that program. It’s exhausting but well worth the reward

Yeah i found that it worked pretty well if you just throw what the catcher calls pretty much every pitch. At first I'd question what the catcher was calling for but after a while I figured out if you can throw it and hit your spots it works really well.

Use Lucas Giolito and Eric Gagne a lot. H/9 for both is 125 maxed out. And get ahead in counts and have a stacked lineup.

I used Maddux and Dibble pretty much the whole time and it worked out well. Occasionally sig Chapman. But [censored], the grind was worth it he hits BOMBS!
