How are you supposed to see what location the catcher calls for your pitch?
-
Playing Franchise mode, dunno if this is the same in all modes or games but I'm guessing it is so here goes.
I play using the strike zone 3 camera with the strike zone showing, both batting and pitching. When pitching I play with API turned on so that you get calls from the catcher. The catcher makes the call, you see what pitch and location he suggests and the location is then show in the strike zone with a catcher glove graphic.
Very often though when facing the next batter or even during an at bat, the camera can decide to cut to random different views which means you then have no idea what location he's calling because it's gone anyway from the view that shows it. You still get the pitch type he's called across the bottom of the screen but no idea whatsoever on location.
What's the deal here? It defeats the point of having pitcher calls if you can't see what location he's calling.
A little help please anyone?

Press R2

I don't think it's that simple. I have also ran into this issue. It does a weird angle sequence that only does the "suggested pitch" and after that it doesn't say where. If you press R2 the pitcher just does the finger circling thing as to say hurry up and call a pitch. If you step off the mound it just goes back to the original awkward side sequence and repeats itself. Frustrating for sure.

I guess it might only be a problem in strike zone views? I use pitcher views and have never had a problem with it

I use outfield view I think

When I did the Babe program playing all those games against the CPU I turned it on in the settings. I think it was pitch suggestions or pitch recommendations, something like that. It only works though against the CPU. Not sure if thats a feature you can use when playing online.

Sounds like you need set pre pitch cameras to none.

Step of the mount and the catcher will choose a nother pitch.

it's not the pitch selection that is the issue. It is not being able to get a location suggestion in certain situations. Stepping off does not solve that situation. But the pre-pitch camera thing might be the answer. Me thinks.

Cheers. I'll try the pre-pitch camera thing. Where do I find that though please?
