Check swings are part of the game

But I’m seriously considering siding with people who want them gone.

Here's my solution: you tap the button, you swing. No matter how hard/softly you tapped it. You touch it, you swing. The only way you will not swing is not touching the button at all.

Literally just played a guy who check swung 47 times in a event game that went 4 innings and only 3 were called strikes. And I lost too, I’m sure you can guess why.

It was actually 25 but felt like a lot more.

Hate it when that happens, especially if all your checks are being called for strikes.

I died a little inside after it panned to the 3rd base ump and he said it was not a swing.Edit: apparently that is a check swing and I’m missing something..

Check swings just seem a little random to me. I'll slam my thumb into X with the force of a thousand suns, only for my batter to stop partway through and let strike 3 pass right down the middle, while sometimes I'll gently tap X and the batter tries to send that ball to the moon, only to send it gently back to the pitcher for a groundout. And this has been happening for years across console generations for me. The PS4 doesn't even have pressure sensitive face buttons anymore, so what's the point

Or double tap stops the swing. That takes skill. I'm ok with people who have skill

If they would be able to implement that correctly within the narrow timing window that's already present, I'm all for that idea too.
