Idea regarding Ranked difficulty

I would prefer this too, actually would be nice if you had to chance like in casual online to choose difficulty. Except you can’t go lower than the threshold but you can go higher.
I think that is a good idea

I've played a bunch of casuals on HOF and some are lower ranked guys and some have been prestiges with loaded teams, I think I have won every single one, or was winning when they quit because I don't think I ever got to finish one.
I would like to play against some stronger peeps on here for practice, anyone feel free to add me and message me to play friendlies, even if you're lower I'll try to help you out with looks.

I generally only play to warm up for ranked or to try out pitchers, I rarely finish also

Anyone from SDS care to comment? Are there technical reasons why this wouldn't work? Nothing changes except the lower ranked team get's a choice to move up or play at their current level.

You should @them

This is a great idea. Plus then you know whether your playing on AS or HOF cause when your in the low mid 700s you just don't know for sure.

I think all of ranked should be hall of fame .
-
I think it should also show the rating of both players in the load up screen. That way you know what difficulty you’re gonna be playing

I don't, for some guys that would be a nightmare. I'd be cool with it but some people just wanna have some beers and have a good time.
-
The thing is you don't want to make it harder for the guys who need to be in the lower levels. But guys who are trying to move up, get better, and be more competitive would benefit.
BTW if SDS likes my idea, I'd take a free Donaldson and some packs. maybe a free future boss choice.. I'm not greedy

On ranked? Man, lol. I wish I could have a good time.

My belief is that the game should default to the higher ranked player. A 700 player should not play AS difficulty even if they’re opponent is 600 or lower. Matchmaking can be fixed so you only play within your division it’s just a slider tweak on the devs end.
-
I just think they need to go to hof until 900, but they won’t with is going cross platform. They need to fix how easy it is to foul balls off and reward better input over sh@tty

I disagree with this. The higher ranked guy has seen the lower division. The lower ranked guy may never have seen the higher rank.

Yeah, all is probably a bit much, but surely they could lower the minimum threshold and start HOF play at 600. I suppose that could just force things downstream, and many would struggle to make and stay at 600, but I would think that it would open that experience for a good chunk of folks.
As someone who struggles to keep a 700 rating and gets a few games in at HOF per season, I have to say I miss the HOF levels... prior to this year (and I've been playing this game since it was first released), I've only played H2H in Play Now, and solely used my A's to play nothing but HOF and Legend games. It's just a better experience...

@Hubijerk said in Idea regarding Ranked difficulty:
Let the lower ranked team decide. If I'm ranked 650, and I get matched up with a guy who is 750, let me choose to play at HOF.
After cracking 700 I was hoping to play some HOF games. Nope. 1st game get matched against a high 600's. Good game, beat me, knocked me back down.
Next game I play a guy ranked in the 700's. He proceeds to foul every thing off, even balls really really out of the zone, and then destroys good pitches outside the zone and on the edges, doesn't matter where I pitch it he's either fouling it off or smashing it, but mostly fouling it off. I did give up a hr and some hits to some hangers and one high pitch that is risky with good hitters but most of the pitches he fouled off and in some cases destroyed were really good pitches.
Now I know AS is kind of a crapshoot, and very pro hitting. But I feel like either of these games I win on HOF. It seems to me that many of these 8-12 pitch at bats would be strikeouts or at least bad contact outs.
So, why not give the under dog the choice to play at the higher level? Can anybody come up with a reason against it?
dude this happened to me the other day. Im legit 400 trying to get to 500 for the first time since i dont play online and i never play anyone in my level. One diamond dude last night fouled off every pitch on the corners or edges and smashed everything remotely in the zone. After 5 batters i just quit. Made no sense
