That is HUGE talk coming from 143-122 hitting .244....

How so? I call it how I see it. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t have to have some crazy good record to have an opinion. I said what I said. Accept or don’t I really don’t care.

You’re talking [censored] on top players for choosing shippett but ur stats are terrible. You just don’t understand the competitive scene in mlbts, which makes your takes completely irrelevant.

Interesting that you think I need your validation to have an opinion. You should really pump the brakes on your entitlement. I can and will comment on whatever I want, if you don’t agree with what I say that’s fine but don’t ever think someone needs your validation to be right or wrong.

Not saying you need my validation, but I’m much more experienced than most with the top player base, so ik when someone’s just saying [censored] and doesn’t know what they’re talking abt. You’re basically calling out top players for using shippett, so naturally I take offense to that. For one thing, a lot of top players often don’t play at shippett. I can tell you just don’t know the situation when u make claims like “Take away Shippet and most of them don’t even sniff the top 50.”

Yeah I am calling out top players for using shippet because there’s obviously an advantage, So tell me expert. Why do the top guys use Shippet? I think it’s because it takes nothing to hit a homerun so it really doesn’t take much knowledge of baseball to play there, it’s basically like playing an arcade game and doesn’t take anything more then decent pci location to hit moonshots. Not much strategy goes into playing at shippet.

I think it's lame that top players think they need to play at home and shippett to ensure they get 'rewarded for good pci placement'. If you end up in a game where you are playing in a stadium other than shippett than hit singles, hit n run, try to bloop singles if you have to. Baseball isn't all about homeruns.

Imagine being an MLB pro and refusing to play anywhere other than Coors. It's pathetic how competitive and serious you guys take yourself.

Is there something unskilled about hitting singles? Pitching and defense are as much a part of baseball and although not as much skill is required in both real life and online DD it's still a skill that should not be factored out because that's what shippett does is takes away defensive baseball as you can't stop a homerun and on top of that pitches hang a lot more at shippett i've noticed as well.

We get it. Your the best hitters and you want the game to reward hitting but the fact that so many top players refuse to never play away games unless it's a challenge(where they then have a full bullpen) is kind of psychotic. Winning means so much to you that you have to give yourself every advantage you can.

Not much strategy goes into playing at shippet.

It’s because when ur elite with the pci, it’s very frustrating it to get rewarded consistently on great swings. Is it realistic to lineout all game? In the mlb, the average on hard hit balls (95 mph or more) is above .500. So in the game, I want to get rewarded on that consistent of a basis when I hit the ball well. You claim that it takes nothing to hit a hr there, but if we played there on legend you’d get shutout, so that’s yet another ridiculous claim.

So u wanna talk strategy? I’m curious exactly how other stadiums are more strategic than shippett. At shippett, you’re forced to make smarter pitches or you get punished. At other stadiums you can get bailed out on mediocre pitching by lineouts. Also, if you’re referring to small ball, that’s not viable in mlbts period. Doesn’t matter what stadium ur at. It’s just the way this game is.

Just for the record, I play road games. I’m not one of those guys to back out on every road game. Most top players don’t do that. I just prefer playing at shippett when I’m the home team. And I think it’s absurd for people to talk [censored] on top players for their stadium choice, but whatever. Top players will be elite at any stadium they play at.

I never said that top players can’t play outside of Shippet, I said they choose Shippet to boost their offensive numbers because they think it’s sexy to have the whole lineup batting .400+. I find it to be a tad unrealistic myself. It’s pretty ironic, in my opinion, that your take is that I’d like to be “artificially limited” when you’re out here arguing the case for a stadium that “artificially enhances” players hitting.

I usually play at Crosley but after reading this thread I think I'm going to play at Shippett from now on, too.

You called shippett players scrubs tho.. that kinda implies a lack of skill.

You guys are saying that shippet is horrible when you guys also playing at short parks. Yes I know that the elevation is higher but it doesn’t make that much of a difference

Yeah, i feel like i hit more HR at Shibe than i do Shippet.

I play at Shippet because I feel it plays smoothly and has the best batter's eye. I don't feel like I am better offensively there. In fact, I win more of my games away than I do at home (a lot of them are still at Shippet though)

Crazy idea, but hear me out.

Admittedly, it doesn’t make any sense in terms of being “realistic” or anything like that. But anyway....

What if stadiums had depreciating results the more you choose it? Think of it like SP stamina. You can’t pick the same SP two games in a row because his energy would be so low that he’d get rocked.

What if when you picked a certain stadium, you had to wait four games to pick that stadium again in order to get top results?

I know, I know. The Shippett defenders are coming for my head. But I have to admit, I exploit the backing out of the pitcher select screen solely because I don’t want to play at Shippett anymore. I don’t mind being the road team, so I don’t do it for home field advantage. In fact, putting a 3-spot in the top of the first is a great way to earn an easy win in RS via a quit.

But I am so tired of Shippett, this is the only way I can guarantee not playing there.

Fair comment and I have no right to stereotype everyone who chooses to play at Shippet as anything. Point remains though, it’s like playing baseball in someone’s backyard. On the moon.
