Does SDS read every post and comment for feedback or will this probably get overlooked?

@VeganMeatbawls said in This gameplay is so horrendous it makes me want to do bad things:

i know you don't wanna hear it bro but i think if you push harder on the stick it will make it stay low, also maybe need to be on the bottom side of the meter line for offspeed pitches.

is that crazy? been using pure analog pitching since 11 and i've learned to locate pretty well and whenever what you described happens to me I go " ohhh **** I didn't push it hard enough"

Pushing harder on the stick only increases velocity. Prior to 2019 you could control your misses to a certain extent. The problem was they couldn't get hitting right and certain pitching strategies made it hard for people to hit. They've ramped up the RNG to pitching so much now that anything not a primary pitch can and will be hung a some point regardless of input.

These pitches always get hit hard to. It never ceases to amaze me when I completely whiff on the pitching input and cringe only to have it swing at and missed or hit weakly. Anything a good input gets hung though it gets whacked regardless of hitter timing.

It's the lazy way of programming the game. Instead of creating an input system with it's own varying difficulty we get the same tired systems they tweak on the backend to do whatever they want whenever they want.

He said he threw Trevor Hoffman's changeup, which is his primary.

You seem to stretch the truth to fit your narrative but i do know where you are coming from but I don't think it's RNG, it's something else. I'm too lazy to type it out

See, all you gamers know what you’re talking about, I’m a baseball guy, I literally only bought a PS4 several years ago to play the show, it’s the only game I play because diamond dynasty is the coolest thing to me in all of video games, and I’ll give SDS credit for that. But they need some serious baseball players’ influence on the game, they could use that to fix base running too, sometimes base runners have a mind of their own and they do things that would never ever happen in a baseball game (maybe little league). What they need is someone else making a game to give them competition to push them to be better! RBI baseball I guess.......😂

Up 2, bottom 3 event. I have Trevor Hoffman on the mound, runner on first, TWO strikes TWO outs to Encarnacion. I put change up almost all the way down, far enough to be in the dirt, start the meter and hold the L stick all the way down, meter perfect, yet somehow the change up ends up at the bottom of the zone and he jacks it to walk me off. [censored] like this happens all the time though.
,> Someone please please help me understand how? That simply has to be horrific game developing from SDS right? When are they going to fix [censored] like this? How long will we put up with this before people don’t buy the game and make them feel it in their pockets? I want so badly to quit but I will probably still buy 21 just because I love baseball too much, and I’ll hate myself for it when I do. Unless we can all decide to boycott the game together until they fix what should be simple gaming issues? Would love to hear everyone’s feedback.

I believe the thing everybody misses, is despite "perfect input", there are many other factors that come to play. With this said sounds like you "missed your spot" just like major league pitchers do, despite their "perfect input".

Dont buy 21. Trust me when I say this. I didnt buy 20 and realized the benefits.

    1. You know how the game plays and it's not changing every patch.
    2. You use cards you never dreamed of because your tired of the end gamers.
    3. All cards are cheap
    4. You can flip cards like crazy
    5. All the good players are playing 20
    6. You can grind at your own pace
    7. When people complain about the new game you finally feel like u exited the mlb show rat race.
    8. You realize how many cards are recycled year after year after year

Let's be real content is one thing Sds nails all the time. Unless u grind hardcore it's really hard to get through all the content. Even then there are so many cards that go unused every year that u either bought or pulled.

It's like paying for a buffet of food...not finishing or touching some of the food...then paying for another buffet of food....etc

I'm with on this poat. I feel like perfect pitch meter should be rewarded much better than it is. If they want to have it not land exactly where you threw it I can understand but it shouldn't be 6-8 inches away from the target on a perfect meter. Also, i feel like pitchers field 90% of stuff hit up the middle, way way too much.

If your comparing perfect input to a major league pitcher, they put the ball where they want 90% of the time, it’s not high school, so when you have perfect input the ball should go where you want it with major league pitchers. That BS. If you want to make perfect input harder to achieve, I’m cool with that, but a 99 Maddux 4 time Cy Young should almost never hang pitches in the zone.

Want to clarify that I agree on the content, last year everybody had the same teams and complained about it, so SDS fixed it immaculately I’ll give them that, but in fixing the “content”, they s*** the bed on the actual gameplay. Right now I’m grinding for MVP trout bcuz it’ll be a really cool card to have, even tho I know I’ll hit .200 with him in RS, so that’s how they get you lol

The baserunners having a mind of their own would be either 1. the way it’s coded having unintentional outcomes that haven’t been fixed (eg a non-selected runner not running when they should or vice-versa) or 2. poor user interface design (the wrong runner selected because the control scheme is not user friendly).

The explanation for 1 is the complexity of creating a game like this and having to take into account so many possible situations where if even one thing is different it might behave in an unexpected way. Logging detailed bug reports with supporting video evidence is the solution.

The explanation for 2 is default baserunning controls. Classic baserunning is the solution.

It’s not because the devs don’t know the game.

I personally don't get control rating on the pitchers stats. They could be real impressive, but the control in on-line game play is so different than in Showdowns, Moments, etc. (In other words, extremely different and glitchy). I hate when I try to locate a pitchand you get perfect/perfect and your aiming for the bottom of the strike zone and it hangs like a floating beach ball. I just guess it all depends on the the pitchers control rating. As much as I swear at this game and hate it, I still play it to minimum 5 hours per day: Because it's the only baseball game you can really play online. The graphics and animations aren't going to get any better until VR hits the game IMO.

VR will see a step back in graphics due to lower resolutions and the extra processing power required.
