Outlier on a sinker doesn’t make every pitchers sinker flat.
I can’t name one pitcher that has a high velo sinker that moves a lot
Are you trying to throw them mid or up in the zone? Sinkers arent meant to be thrown anywhere but down. Shouldn't have much movement if thrown anywhere else but in this game we know they are ridiculous over powered.
-
Just sold off some extra cards I don't use anymore, did a little flipping, and bought Syndergaard. Haven't tried him yet, but excited to in a little bit. Need all the pitching help I can get! Lol

Britton is booty

I throw them everywhere in general. Rodneys doesn’t move at all anywhere lol. He is the worst one
-
I wish he wasn't going for so much because I'd like to give him a go as my 5th starter but I can't justify spending 80K on this card right now. After picking up SS Chris Sale and FS Luis Robert, my remaining Stubs are all tied up in my investments for the next roster update.

I was shocked how terrible that Rodney card was when I picked him up after the Ducks on the Pond pack dropped. His attributes look like he should be great -- at the very least serviceable -- but it feels like he has zero control and his pitches almost flutter out of his hand.
I used to love the low-90s Fernando Rodney card we've gotten in the past but the one we received this year is a trashcan, in my opinion.
-
Anyone use this card?
-
Guess not?

Zach Britton sinker moves for me. He is nasty. 0.80 whip in 28 innings. It just comes in fast so it appears flat, but facing him you notice it moves.
I faced him in the HOF moments yesterday and it definitely moves.

This is a joke right? King Felix has 97 mph sinker that has a ton of movement. How bout Kluber? 94-96 mph sinker that is filthy!!! Same goes for Seaver and finally Zach Britton 99-101 mph sinker that absolutely disappears.
-
Felix was awful for me and It is real easy imo to read pitches out of his hand. You do well with felix?
-
I used Syndergaard for one game on AS. Heat is filthy, sinker is pretty good, off speed stuff seemed to hang for me. Gave up a couple HR. Only 1 game sample size, but I think he will be good enough to stick in my rotation as a #5 atleast. I'm almost to 700 so I'm curious how he does in the higher levels.

Yeah I have like 1.70 era with him mostly on HOF difficulty

He can be easy to read if you fall in love with his sinker. You have to mix in fastballs and his slider. I wouldn’t suggest using his slurve too much as it hangs way too much. If I use it it usually just a show pitch to get them off the over correcting pci guys who expect the sinker.
-
I shelled out the stubs for him, haven't used him online yet but in the HOF moments he's looking good. That slider can hit 95 and its nasty. Mix that up with 100+mph fastball and 80mph curve.

The Key with Rodney is his off speed. If you have command with those and good sequencing, you can fool your opponent pretty easily. But once you start missing the strike zone with the off speed, its time to pull him because people then sit fastball/sinker.

Rodney does have 0 control lol. I use him in games where my opponent is mashing everything. I figure maybe if I don't know where this pitch is going, my opponent won't either. It actually works a lot of times and resets my brain to not be so predictable

93-95 for Kluber isn’t fast lol. Felix has the most flat one lol. He is the easiest pitcher to hit in the game in my opinion

Yeah I kill him too because the other person doesn’t know how to use him (generally speaking). I love him because I’ve learned how to maximize the effectiveness of all of his pitches. But pitching is all about interrupting timing right. Just saying
