Probably a dumb Blake Snell question?
-
Ok so I was late to the party this year and haven't completed a lot of collections. I started to complete some lately strictly for XP purposes to level up(i wanted that 99 Sandberg) I just finished off some Conquests and have 5 of the 7 Players League cards to get 95 Blake Snell. I only locked in Bichette and was going to buy the other 2 cards for about 17k to complete the set and realized I can sell these cards and get someone like Grienke or Saberhagen instead of wasting 40-50k stubs on Snell. What do you guys think?
Current Starting pitchers are Paxton, Newhouser, Hendricks,, Wheeler and working on Seaver right now

For starters...you only need 6 of 7 to get Snell, so you'd only need to buy 1 more and the most expensive card is 10k right now. So you can buy 1 more card for 7-10k and get Snell or sell for 30-40k more likely (pre-tax).
I find Snell's delivery to be tricky to pick up and I think he's pretty effective for the most part.
Plus Snell can be used as a ticket voucher for MVP Trout if you have any desire to work towards that goal.
I'd rate that Snell better than either of the Topps guys you got in your rotation right now.

Thanks man I really want Trout but have 0/15 collections and are not close to completing any. Stuck between very slowly collecting for trout or at this point just sell everything sellable and buy players

Not sure how long you've been playing (starting late and missing free boss cards hurts collections chances somewhat). But I'd recommend doing the player programs and if you have a good number of live series cards start locking those in for collections as they reward you with any number of flashback types. I'm only like halfway to Trout myself.
Need to remember that there will be more programs and cards released so eventually you'll start building those collection numbers.
But ultimately I guess you need to ask yourself if selling these cards for a different SP or some other position will be a better investment than the SP option in front of you. Happ and McNeil both hit pretty well....Gallo is always a good card to have (his FOTF card is better though) so some of these player leagues cards are usable depending on your team.

Yea I started playing only a month ago. lineup is pretty potent with 95-99 at every position except my starting pitching. I wasnt going to complete any collections because some will take hundreds of thousands of stubs to complete, just doesnt seem worth it at this time. Thats why I was like well, i can have 95 snell or a 97-99 pitcher of my choosing within that price range

@lazy_toast I would see them. He is good, but I regret not selling them, or not buying them in the first place. Would have saved me a bunch of stubs to use on the LS collection. Plus, I had other good pitchers.
