Quit expecting top tier cards in headliner packs. The only headliner so far that is considered end game is Dibble and thats because of lack of relief pitchers. Andruw Jones probably should have gotten his best card by now, maybe even in a headliner. The only drops that aren’t planned before the game comes out are POTM, Topps now, Finest, and that seasons postseason cards
Please stop interjecting assumptions that aren't there. I don't hate the FS cards and didn't hate the Prospect cards. FS Dylan Carlson is one of my favorite cards. However the time for those cards should be over, it's just lazy rehashing content for the sake of content.
I agree, but future stars aren’t over with until Franco and Adley are released and I think you know that. All I’m saying is that they aren’t changing their set in stone content schedule because the same 6 people complain about future stars over and over again
No way this is the same content roll out planned all along. They've already had to adjust POTM on the fly. I'm sure this isn't the original roll out.
I’m positive it is. The only things affected by real life baseball are POTM’s, topps now, finest, that seasons PS cards, and roster updates. Yes, they changed Rollins with Oswalt as the 1st inning boss, thus making Rollins a 6th inning boss, but there is no way to know if the preseason leak was actually correct

I don’t know. I’ll admit that. But I’ve been around long enough to notice trends in how they release content. Not releasing these guys yet keeps players interested. You will always hear “you gotta release these guys before madden comes out” from folks on here. Let’s be real the people leaving for madden leave anyway regardless of what content this game has to offer. The earliest the big name legends have every been released were 18’s immortals which was in mid July I believe (@SaveFarris would have the exact date). No one played 18 after the immortals because they were burnt out by the grind and every single lineup consisted of any combination of the 13 or 14 immortals. There are so many players that played longer than usual last year because they had to wait for Schmidt, Pujols, Trout etc. That is why none of these players are released

I’m sure the inning bosses are mapped out from the beginning. And they probably know who is a HL, who is a Ducks pack, who is Moments Extreme, etc, but I don’t believe they have it so nailed down as to be permanent and immovable. There’s no reason why they couldn’t move things around if they wanted to. If wander Franco is arrested for poisoning a bus full of nuns, do you think they’ll still release his FS and just say “sorry — we had it all locked down in February! Nothing we could do about it!” The truth is that none of us know how they plan these things out, but we can all use logic to know that things can and have changed. It’s a safe bet that their yearlong plan is written in pencil and not in ink.

I think we can all agree that SDS does this so people will play longer, hopefully buy more stubs etc. And as a company i can see why it makes sense. But the baseball fan in me, and being a fan of “The Show” I’m just tired of waiting for the big name’s. I’ve got a ton of stubs ready to buy these big names up! Sure the 99’s we’ve gotten so far have been great! It’s been a lot of fun, but I want these other 99’s already lol.

I think THAT has more to do with Prestige. If we didn't have to Prestige cards online, we'd be using "all" the cards released, not just a certain subset.
There's no reason to put Banks, Mize, or HRD Alonso in the lineup because piling up stats with them is irrelevant.

I wish they would release Babe/Ted/Cobb early in the year. By the time they release, good defense is a necessary thing with whoever you roll out in the outfield.
I legit can’t use them already. Babe and Ted are terrible in the field and Cobb has a noodle arm.
I know they are some of the biggest name legends, but early in the year, defense isn’t as important.

I seem to remember a certain Braves CF who was already in the MLB at 19 and winning GG awards by the time he turned 21. You know the same guy who didn't get a card until the end of last year's game cycle.
We need to ramp up the content concerning the players everyone would like to use
️I hate to say it but the jig is up lol....around this time every year it's like the show american greed....where it's over but they arent giving up and trying to get every little penny out of the "investors" they have left...ie....recycled cards...stub sales..."flash sales" lol...game price reduction....the writings on the wall...'20 has been signed sealed and delivered and they are on to trying to make a nearly perfect version of next years game. Which they will do...only to have our " here we go again moment " after the first couple patches

They tell you the content rollout is great and forget to mention they spent an extra 6 months playing 19 at the same time as 20 to get all the cards because they have psychological issues and OCD forces them to complete Stan Musial even though the game has passed.
Yes, let’s listen to these guys, they know exactly what regular, non psychotic people want out of video game content.

Pointing out we're on pace for more 99s is such a dumb argument. Off the top of my head of those 42 99s, ten are new legends who deserve 99s, two are Adell and Mize, and Paxton is another. So obviously we'll have more 99s most likely. You can't add guys like Mo, Maddux, Mantle, etc and not expect more 99 players.
With the exception of truly special prospects like Wander majority of people want to play with usable cards of legends and flashbacks they know not FS. Not to mention they're basically going to flood the game with these guys too fast meaning most people won't even use them since it's already August. Is anyone going to want to use Luis aparicio or Pee Wee Reese this late in the game cycle. It's just filler content at that point.
