Has anyone used marichal? How does he play.

I've used him heavily in this event, Mid 3's ERA, around a 1.00 WHIP. So pretty good considering it's on all-star. Course ranked is a different beat all together and I haven't used him there yet

Haven’t used him, but batted against him a couple times. Has crazy offspeed stuff, so if your opponent isn’t good at waiting for that he’s good. But can be easy to time up at times

I have started using him in the event, and he has been my best pitcher by far! 7-0 with a 1.0 era! I threw really well with his card last year too. Master the changing fastball combo to lefties and dotting the slider against righties! Love his control and speed differential. I have also never faced him, other may not like him.

I have him prestiged already.
Making people sit on off speed and then blowing a 97mph fastball by them is super funny.
On the flip side getting them adjusted to the 90 mph slider and 95-97mph fastball then dropping a 69 mile per hour change is disgusting.
He has 99 break 99 control on the slider prestiged, 99 control on fb and curve, 98 on screwball. He DOTS.
The screwball combod w changes inside to righties working similarly to how sinkers do
Much better on higher difficulties.

I’ve actually never played against him.. I only have smoltz and I just got my Jim Palmer Prestige... his 12-6 curve is disgusting... I’ve been looking into getting Merichal after I prestige Paxton.

Jim Palmer was my favorite pitcher in MLB 19, I sold him so I could finish the live series collection. I need to buy him back too

I leave alot of meat over the plate like dudes keep fouling off and i get all meatheaded like "foul this off mfer" and they blast me but when i have his curve hitting spots hes unhittable

I want to like him but in about 20 innings (all in events all-star difficulty) he has an 11.44 ERA and 2.08 whip, yikes
