Does anyone have solid advice on how to limit the base overruns especially at 2nd. Is there a way to no matter what have your runner stop at the base, I’ll hit triangle or try to push up to slide and it will still overrun. It doesn’t happen all he time but it happens more than it should. I hold it til he’s a bit past first but it I don’t hold it long enough he goes back, too long and he over runs it. There is such a tiny window there and sometimes that window changes. I don’t see it happen to my opponents often but it happens to me a lot. Any advice would be super appreciated. I use the L1 and R1.

This ONLY happens online, offline I’ve never had it happen

What interface are you using? I tried the button one but i was messing up , guess it will take getting used to.

Is there a way to stop the runner at the base though with the default baserunning interface. The bases still have buttons assigned to them but that doesn’t do anything when I press them

You have to point to the particular runner with the left analog stick and then press the button to move them

Use the face buttons. Advance all is great for hits to the gap getting people running. Face buttons are what you need for individual control. Runners will go hard where you want them and then hold

I have always used classic.it reminds me of old school Nintendo for some reason, like up and B for 2nd left an B for 3rd but instead your picking x square o x and up left down an for me it's easier if I just want one or two guys to go an leave the other guy at first instead of sending everyone at once.but each his own it does take getting use too but I like it alot better than the other one they force you to use during moments.my guy will stop halfway between bases if I let go or go back to base he came from.i don't have those issues with classic u just have to be quick with button presses during certain situations

Use classic, and remember the acronym ALaRA: avoid L1 and R1 always.

There must be a way to pick a base with the default interface. It just never works when hit the base button to stop there. Classic is a [censored] to figure out

I summarise how to use classic effectively here:
    Baserunning

Hopefully the link works, if not I’ll find another way.

I really want to take some time to put a clip together but that’s a lot of time so still on the ideas list.

Classic is the easiest one! Runner on First hit O, up for second, left for third, down for home.
