Ive just bought this game and I have an ok team. No one on my team is a 99 but I do have 1 98. The ret are like in the higher 80s except edwin encarnacion. Yet I am having to face prestige and diamond tier players with like 99 overall teams. How are people supposed to stay on your game if you dont give them a chance to freaking learn?! Is there supposed to be same-skill matchmaking or something, because if there is its broken.

You don't have to be good to be prestige level or diamond level and you don't have to be good to get 99's on your team. There are so many ways to get players that don't involve skill that whatever team someone has means nothing.

Work on the player of the month programs, do conquest, etc. You'll starting seeing your stubs stack up while obtaining good plyers.

We are basically almost halfway through the games life cycle, so of course most people are going to have good teams. Spend the time to grind out some good players, and then hop back into head to head

I would say stick to offline do most of the conquest because you get insane rewards that sel for a lot expecally right now. Also do the POTM challenges and maybe make a created player to help your team

    Ranked, Events or BR?

Events and BR have different matchmaking systems that make it more likely for you to face higher tier players than you otherwise would.

That’s what happens when you by a sports game halfway through the games cycle. Many players started day one and that’s why they have loaded squads.

Here's the thing, I started a few months late too. I just took my licks and put up a terrible record. Here's the thing though I was still able to beat some God squad teams at the time. The difference between a really competitive squad and a God Squad is not that much. up until this collection drop you could put together a really solid team fast on a budget. Now, while that's more difficult, you could still put together a competitive team pretty quickly by knocking out the POTM, pulling some cards from packs on the conquest maps, and XP path.

My recommendation would do the POTM's Correa at short, Didi at 2nd, Jackie Robinson in L, pull Posey for you're 1st level up for catcher and you can go any way you want for this months boss pick but I'd go J-roll, he could play short and put correa at 3rd. That's a really good base right there. Then go through the team affinities to fill in gaps and pitchers like Orel and Wood.. Honestly I could build a really strong team I'd feel good about just by using players from this path.

I kind of had more fun when I had to make harder choices and sacrifices to put together a team. I now have one of those God squads but at this point changing players doesn't always = better, just different, the latest and greatest.
