Question about Online Leagues

I really want to start playing online....I am getting better and more patient hitting, and have actually won some games (something I couldnt do much of in years prior when I was a complete hacker), but can't stand it facing opponents who constantly pause the game, and do stupid stuff trying to get you to quit and in the process, extend the time it takes to play game 3 fold.
Do "online leagues" count towards Prestige or is it just Ranked Seasons and Events?
