Do you use any? And if so, which ones? I have a couple of different ones, use some for a while and then I get tired of them and either swap them or just leave them off entirely.

I just use one to pitch, doesn't really matter which one

I use them for both. got a nice rounded pair w/ grips from Walmart for $5 and they do just fine. I use the shorter one on the pitching side. Idk if they're is much difference from $30 vs $5 ones.

I'm currently trying out the Omnis. They pop off the stick too easily for my taste.

The grooves greatly improve the grip. One is taller than the other, which is great because I find the tall one makes the stick really sensitive. The added sensitivity helps a lot with hitting, but makes pitching harder in my experience. So the tall one on the left/short one on the right.

Almost all top players use green CQC. Highly recommend trying them for hitting

What makes them so special though? Is it the grips or height? Or what? I don't think I know enough bc I think my Walmart ones do okay lol.

I think it’s a combination of the grip and height. I was previously using Omni, and switching to CQC made a huge difference

I have the green CQC as well. I pretty much switch between them and the orange ones, I think they're called Vortex.
With the CQC I can react towards the corners really quickly but I tend to lose accuracy in the middle of the zone. With the Vortex it's the opposite, that one is a little thicker than the CQC.

I've tried the Omnis but they aren't for me. Because of the concave shape it's hard to react to pitches on the corners, especially high and inside heat.

I have large hands and prefer the offset analog sticks so I used the Nacon Revolution Unlimited controller. I switch back and forth for Kontrol Freeks but my preference is concave on the left stick and convex on the right.
Concave I feel like let's me control the circular movements of the PCI better. Convex feels better making the down and up motions for analog pitching.
Personal preference and trial and error are the only way to nail it down.

I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on that for the exact reason as you. My hands are huge and the PS4 controller is small. How's the durability? Have you had any of the software issues I've been seeing a lot of folks have?

I haven't even tried to mess with the software. There are 4 preloaded configurations, I use number 4. I'm very impressed with the controller, I upgraded from the original. Best part is the USB-C cable upgrade and the wireless USB Bluetooth dongle for wireless play. I can't notice any input latency from playing wireless like a standard dualshock or other controllers I've used.
I purchased through Amazon for the easy return policy were I not satisfied. I never considered returning it though.

Stick height is not adjustable on the Nacon. There are 3 rings of different thickness that change the total range of motion you can have. Kontrol Freeks fit fine on them though so you can get more height that way.

I tried the Nacon and I hated it. I mostly tried it for the pedals on the back for FPS games, because I was disappointed with the build quality of Scuf, but I really didn't like the Nacon. Way too bulky and the triggers are hard to reach imo.

I wasn't over the moon for the first one, the new one is great. I don't like the four programmable buttons though, position is nice but they don't stick out enough to distinguish them and hit them accurately.

I tried that Revolution one or whatever it's called. I think it's their high end model, highly customizable with software and all. I returned it after 2 days, I honestly prefer the dualshock 4 but to each their own of course.
