Is this game stale or is it just me?

Market is stale, gameplay is stale, seems like once you get past 700 in RS everyone is using Hershiser or Kluber and spams inside or high sinkers. Most everyone has the same lineup. No variety at certain positions. Just make every player available to be put on the market, maybe that could help. Sinker is harder to pick up and more overpowered than Thor’s hammer. Events are blah most of the time. Fielding is atrocious, but I will say I’ve never had any issues with pitching which is a topic I see a lot on here. Yes this may seem like I’m complaining but I view it as just giving my opinion.

Maybe you just need a break. Lots of other great games out right now.
-
Nope, I still enjoy the game. It's all about moderation, it would get stale if I played it all the time, but I only play when I feel like it and if I get annoyed or tired of it, I stop.
-
@Jeviduty I agree but I mostly only play sports games and there are very few games other than sports I play. Kinda stinks because I truly do like the idea behind these Ultimate teams modes just wish there was more variety.
-
It does feel a bit but I think that's because we are at the end of the 5th inning most have the boss they wanted have beat the conquest maps and the 2 player programs.
For me I went back to MTO just to break some things up and just kicking back and playing and will get back at with Fridays update

It could be that your just not that in to baseball.
-
@tylerslikewhoa I love baseball. Another thing I forgot to mention is that we grind for all these players only to be able to use them online which a lot of players strictly play offline. Basically the only offline mode is conquest and lets be honest 80% of conquest you don’t actually “play”.

Ghost of Tsushima looks a lot more compelling to me right now.

Take a break from The Show and go play Ghost of Tsushima. It's a stunning experience. Such a nice balance between tranquility and refined action. The exploration has felt so liberating with this lockdown.

Yes! Go play it! I'm sure Ramone is.

It’s just you. Play something else.

So far, so good.

In my opinion, I am having the best time ever with this game! I like how if you want to Prestige a card, you have to go online. I used to be strictly offline but that helped me change my view and now play a lot off and on! The only part I despise are Moments cuz they take me away from playing the actual game, but I understand how Moments are a necessary evil in this game - plus they do provide a lot of Stubs and rewards. (Just sux when it takes 3 hours to get 3 XBH’s for Cutch in that horrible Pirates Moment...). But I feel they have done a good job in providing content for off and on. I have other games I could play (RoboCop in MK: Aftermath is calling my name! ), but MLBTS20 is where it’s at! And it’s Opening Day today!

Ghost of Tsushima IS an incredible game, although it does lack character development so far (half way through act II). I'm at 850 stars, everything done, it was a great way to step away from the show until....new content day!

Grind 99, yo!
-
Yes! The problem is, they had fresh way to gain cards with the inning program. It was so different then any other grind they've done before. It was exciting to do it and could be done pretty easily within 2 days. In 20, they've repeated the exact same program with "showdown." I did 300+stars 11 times last year. Ive now done it additional 5 times. That's stale. The first 4 inning programs were mediocre at best and they were good for a week now outdated. Last year, Roberto Alomar was the 3rd pr 4th inning program, and was the end game 2nd baseman. It took them until June to release good cards, They haven't updated BR since it was added in 17. Theyve adjusted the amount of diamonds you get but its the exact same. The event mode took a huge step back, mediocre rewards that do not make your squad and will be priced 3 times their worth once the big collection comes out. Ranked is at an all time low. They had a beautifully played game in pre-release. I went 12-1 with my only lose was a disconnect. Once they made 1st day patch that ruined hitting the entire year. Theyve yet to be able to correct it. I have played 2 games in the past two weeks and haven't really missed it. I want to use some of the new cards but its just not fun. I am praying, they release mlb 21 and not touch hitting at least for the first month and see how it plays. I may get back into 20, but having to do 300 showdowns to unlock cards makes me cringe lol.

Yup sports game in general have taken a huge nose dive. Nothing but updated rosters every year with little to none innovation or new features. Haven't played madden for 3years. 2k20 was my first in years. MLB is my last hope before i give up sports gaming for good.
