Showdown Update
-
Last showdown I played I was trying to make a 15-0 on al central (white Sox), the first ten ours was like I was playing the bad news bears, got it to 15-11 with the pitcher north of 110 pitches, then the infielders became vacuum cleaners not letting anything out of the infield. It's the fielding slider that needs to be toned down.

These things are not veteran. Everything that isn't squared up is a lazy fly or grounder.

Dude for real. Outfield Superman diving grabs, robbing homers in boss battles. It’s unreal. And very selective. One perfect hit is an outfield fly and the other is gone. It’s getting stupid.

I've pretty much stopped playing them. One of the last times I did, Judge actually collided with the wall head first to catch a ball on a dive. In real life. He would've snapped his arm in three places, knocked himself out and actually dropped the ball.
Not in showdown, though.

I have noticed that the average player can not do show down. They are just a cash grab for SDS. I was able to do the welcome one and have not been able to complete them since. I am slowly doing the 5th inning one just to get the stubs I will say the meatball method does work pretty well in showdown. But I have noticed that the computer will detect it sometimes and throw over the first if there is a guy on first and that will eliminate the meatball. Also they are never down the middle had what was supposed to be a meatball be a slider way inside. Figured if the AI is going to cheat and make common or bronze fielders play like brook robinson and ozzie smith why not cheat the computer back.

Agree with all the above and I hardly touch it anymore. Kerry Wood painting the corners all game, yeah okay! Do you also notice you ever hardly see a bloop hit in this mode yet you can pop up so easily with decent pci anytime you have a runner on third.
-
I was trying to do Stage 2 showdowns, I can not seem to win, I get to the final boss at 15-11, should have been easy to get the 5 runs but anything hit was ran down in the gaps, or died on the track, hard line outs. I am determined to WIN. at least I get my stubs back and make a little profit and get a ton of XP. I want the Vouchers.

Showdown's are simply not worth the stress. Grinding for cards with 125 Power that'll end up flying out on perfect perfects.
SDS messes with the RNG / difficulty sliders way too often. Stealth nerfs and buffs all year long.

Superman dives for outs in the outfield, that's what I was calling them to. I even replayed a few because they were so amazing.
And good luck with Fingers if you get him for the second showdown For Central. He was dotting and throwing masterful sequences of location and speed.

I think they're pretty cake. Occasionally have some rough streaks where I'm swinging at bad pitches, but all in all quick and painless. Won 4 out of my last 5. Couldn't hit Lodolo's Sinker solid. Completed Indians, Mariners, Blue Jays and Diamondbacks in 2 evenings.

I had good runs over the weekend, but the last couple days I am on a bad losing streak but I am profiting on stubs and get the xp, Not all is bad.

First run of my 4 out of 5 was a perfect run too. First one I've had which was pretty cool. Went into the final battle and I remember not knowing where to put my last diamond hitter I was hitting so well with my Silvers and Golds. Ended up beating the boss on the 2nd pitch. First one was a ball.

Not to be that guy, but I was wondering the opposite. Played one yesterday (Stage 2 AL) for the first time in probably 3 weeks to a month. It was my first ever perfect run.

I’m honestly convinced they just saw too many people were beating them so they put the ai difficulty into overdrive. If anyone says it’s the same, they’re lying. This is absolutely ridiculous.
This is exactly what I was thinking yesterday, I lost 2 straight West. I even had the lucky 7 card and couldn't even connect on most of them solidly. They def. tweaked something. Probably why they haven't been communicating much this year. But let someone make a complaint about not being able to process $$ transactions, or post articles about how they can tweak drop rates for specific people/influencers. They will respond or ban in lightning speed. They are very shady, going the way of EA and 2K

stage 3 wood. not a bad player. been playing for years. made ws. i scored 14 runs faced k.wood was patient. he dotted every corner at 100hr through 63 strikes and 3 balls.this is not fun
-
I just hate that they have the nerve to call it veteran. Veteran with a large helping of adjusted sliders is more like it. I’ve gone back to playing MTO.

Yeah I had one those perfect runs on my winning streak it felt so good going into the final boss 15-15.

I’m just talking about stage 3 specifically. They used to be easy. I literally wouldn’t lose a mission. Now every single pitch is on the black or breaking out of the zone. And solid hits are lazy flies. It’s blatantly clear that the sliders changed. It used to be fun even if I didn’t win. Now it’s just offensive.
-
Oh and the fact that they don’t give you a single player you need for your lineup when you win. Thanks game. I really want 6 outfielders when Kevin Plawiecki is my catcher. Appreciate that.
