Should hope be given up considering perfect release pitches still go down the middle?

Perfect perfect are outs but early non squared up are bombs.

Content doesn’t nothing if it isn’t playable. Clown studios 🤡🤡🤡

They aren’t going to fix it. They fiddled with patches last year. Rinse and repeat . The game drops and it feels good. They patch it and goes to [censored]. They tweak things here and there but never gets close to opening week. New game comes out, same song and dance .

Whether you like the game or not, I believe it will benefit them tremendously to build the game entirely from the ground up moving forward for next gen. Just start over from scratch and reinvent the game with all the feedback and knowledge you've gained over the years.

Not from scratch. This game is ok. They should combine the games starting using MLB 16 as the base and taking all the good things from 17-20 that could make it good

I disagree. Despite the game not being terrible and MLB 16 being great, it needs a rebuild moving forward especially with all the new possibilities that come with next gen. Build it from scratch is the only way to prevent previous mistakes from happening again.

I continously say that hitting and pitching was last revelant (for user input) in 2016 The Show. The biggest problem in that year was the Bunt Cheese online was horrific. Once they went to "ball physics" in 2017 the game changed forever. 17 was still pretty good even though one handed finish guys like Ripken etc were pretty unusable. 18 was slow pitch, 19 was lineout city and 20's good/good is an out more often than not. Despite that I love the game of baseball even with all the game's nuances. Sometimes I don't like how the games play but I play it anyway because baseball is in my blood.

Yes! PS3 legacy issues still around to this day, and next gen most likely. But without that rewarding PS3 gameplay it just sucks now! All glitter content, very little substance.

Bro just cause you get a perfect perfect or good foot doesn’t mean you’re Guaranteed a home run. Players hit balls right at guys on the screws all the time that’s baseball and what makes it great. Hitters hit great pitches for home runs also hit bad pitches out. It happens. Stop expecting to hit a homer every time you square up a ball cause it’ll never happen

It must be impossible to make a baseball video game. If they give you a HR for perfect every time, good players would be batting .700 and score 20 runs a game. Nobody would complain about that. It also sucks when you have good(timing\placement) and don't feel rewarded for it. In real baseball i'd say only half of perfectly timed/squared up balls are actually hits, maybe less.

I don't disagree but building it from the ground up isn't going to fix the tug of war between skill and random outcomes.

this game is not changing in the future for the better? If anything there is going to be more RNG because people playing on Xbox that have never played the franchise before will all get the benefits of bad PCI placement and pitching and every other issue that will keep them in the game. If they start playing cross-platform against PS4 users and get destroyed they will be disheartened and won't buy stubs. This game will be more like Madden than it already is. Dice roll after dice roll.
