Schedule on RTTS & Franchise

Hey guys, new to this, just wanted to get some feedback on a question I had.
I mainly play RTTS and Franchise, disclaimer I am a Cincinnati Reds guy so I cater my experiences with that franchise and RTTS. I have noticed as I keep on playing that the auto-generated schedules are pretty rough in terms of variability.
So my question is why does the schedule generally stay the same through-out the years? Reds are in the NL Central obviously, but I tend to never play against AL Central or West teams unless it is playoffs. I know all about scheduling in real life MLB and the inter-league games but as I get into my 5-6 year its the same. Also, after the first season the Reds play away for the first game of the season when they always play at home to start off the season. Why can't the show (being the main game for baseball fans) offer some kind of variability or even make the auto scheduling somewhat realistic? I imagine it wouldn't be THAT hard.
Anyone have feedback or just general thoughts about this?

when did I say anything about increasing profits? lol. I was just stating that the scheduling on the game isn't very realistic.

19 games vs division opponents,7 each vs teams in same league, and interleague play ,2 home series of 3games 2 road series of 3 games 1 series of 2home/2road, against one division of other league,and 1 rivalry series usu a 2H/2R. mirrors the current mlb season as to interleague/rival.
unfortunately progressing to next season doesn't change the interleague division you play( should but doesn't) -
