So what are your favorite and least favorite pitches. Of course. everyone knows the sinker is overpowered. I find I can't read changeups below the zone very well as a hitter. I just naturally swing early and over the top.

As a pitcher, I notice I can't locate the slider very well. I can locate relatively well with most pitches, but for some reason I can't get the slider where I want it most of the time. Anyone else have this issue? Curves are tough to locate but I generally do OK with them (when they don't hang). But it's the slider that constantly gives me trouble and it's also, generally, one of my favorite pitches to use.

Also, I notice that I have a hard time locating inside to lefty hitters with righty pitchers. Does anyone else have that issue? Not sure if it's the way I use the stick (I use analog) but I am much better, generally, locating on the inner part to righty hitters than the opposite side, especially with right-handed pitchers.

Sliders low and outside in lefty lefty matchups. Opponent usually swings

Curves in dirt to lefty or righties. I test my opponent first inning

If he’s swinging at that I’ll let him get himself out. If he lays off then I try to work corners in the strike zone

For some reason I can’t locate sliders very well this year. I don’t get it.

Sinker, cutter, and slider are the pitches I use most. Sinker cutter combo is dominant this year. Back foot slider is a big go to. Changeup is very hit and miss, with pitch speed increases and the timing window Increase in a previous patch it’s easier to hit and foul off. Also the changeup seems to float up way too much, good input on a pitch that’s supposed to be below the zone ends up thigh high. I rarely use curveballs, way to easy for guys to read and probably the most inconsistent pitch. I only use it inside when I know someone is hunting fastballs

With your comment about pitching inside to lefties, switch your camera to the opposite view you usually use. If you use strike zone try outfield and vice versa.

Years ago in practice mode they had a pitching option to hit the targets and you’d get points based on how well you did. That’s when I switched from pulse to analog. It be cool to have a little contest like that again, make challenge of the week a pitching challenge

My favorite pitch to throw is a change up just out of the zone. I hit sliders middle to away well and fastballs low.

Change up, Curve , Slider, I probably throw less sinkers and FB then most players. I use the Meter and know where my pitch usually will go upon release, Learn to release early or late depending on the pitch to get it to where it needs to go, if the pitch is to perfect using zone it is going to get hit really hard and really far. Not to perfect and not to late. Know the pitcher you are using and how the pitches break or move.

My thing is I just don’t understand why I can’t locate sliders that well this year (relatively, of course, to other pitches). Slider is one of my favorite pitches. Just having a hard time getting it where I want it. Same with going inside to left batters. I don’t get it
