HRD Ripken now best SS?
-
Opinions?
-
Not with his swing
-
I’d still say Banks, but I have also NEVER been able to hit with Cal.
-
I actually got lucky and pulled him, think I’ll try him for a while and see how he does. I picked him over the other 2 because he has diamond defense on top of the power. On paper he looks better than the POTM Correa
-
Keeping Banks. Never hit well with Cal.
-
Not even close, he could be 125 across the board and his swing would still ruin the card.

His swing is really that bad?? What’s so bad about it??
-
70s reaction at SS.

I don't know man, it just throws me off. I give him another shot every year and every year he's gone after one game, even if he performed well.

Lol. I sold him for 69k, I figured it will drop a bit and I can always buy back if I want. Also I like grinding prestige cards and I haven’t finished Correa yet anyways
-
Nope. Worst swing in the game
-
He has a slow, gangly swing, but I kinda got it down late last year. Think I will stop trying to prestige Hanley and use Ripken in the event to see if I can get used to that swing again.
-
Probably the only Ripken lover here, shock to see a juiced up version of him
-
Ripken for the price I’d take him
-
Anyone actually use him yet ? I'm thinking of buying him once he drops! One thing is ripkin has alot of stances! So which stance/ swing is actually on this HRD card !!?? So it could be a great card,!

I am from Baltimore. Grew up a few miles from Camden Yards. Had Cal posters on my wall. His swing in this game is loopy and he gets out if you pitch him inside. Too bad... He was a .270-.280 hitter most seasons IIRC, but he had pop. He should be one of the best options at SS, but Banks and Correa are better result based options. Too bad.
-
Swing is awful. Like others have said. He could be 125 across the board. Swing sucks. Monthly Correa hasn’t left my lineup.

He takes too long to load and people are usually late on everything. Its more of a visual effect type of thing, if you use zone plus analog with stride you will notice a huge difference. He will turn into another of player for sure.
-
I say this in every SS thread now, but don’t sleep on Yount. He’s been my best hitter since I got him. Think Biggio at SS with diamond defense. I’m excited to prestige him and get 90+ reaction/fielding.
