Was it Marty Moose? Because when you finally got to the theme park; after 2 weeks on the road with your ungrateful family, it was closed?

Sorry folks!!! Park's closed! The moose out front should've told ya!

To be fair this online fiasco wouldn't be a problem if SDS didn't prevent offline only players from having the chance to prestige players offline. They could have easily made an offline grind with 3x the amount of stats requiring AS difficulty or something. Poor planning on their part.

No way. This community is incredibly toxic. If I didn't have to play online I probably wouldn't honestly.

No, it's like playing checkers vs a CPU programmed to play checkers. People feel different ways about what they want from the game and work long weeks where they aren't always down to spend 45 min playing against Kluber at Shippett for the 100th time and worrying about an RS score.

This. 100% this. One of 18's best features was the combined online/offline stat grinding. This year they completely screwed over offline players.

And what exactly is the difference between grinding vs cpu and me playing my at bat with my top 3 and quitting every game (already have 100 wins). My team name is the same it’s been all year and I’m not messaging people begging for stats (although lots of people give them to me anyways).
The prestige grinds aren’t “boostable” offline due to them being for a single player (ie you can’t stack a lineup with 8 1b like 18).
If they didn’t want these shenanigans then they should have either made prestige offline too or ranked seasons only.

Ha you really think so? 18s offline grind was so bad that no one physically had the time to play online. Screwing over online players. And that grind was required to get the best cards, not a measly + 3 attribute bump to already good cards. And before I’m hit with the “I’m OCD and need to complete everything” line, clearly sports games/ ultimate team modes are not meant for those types of players.

Yup, I see a lot of online guys in here cry about not wanting great cards to be achieved by offline grinding stats. The standpoint of not wanting people to be rewarded for hit and quit vs CPU on Rookie, yet here we are see online boosting that is technically easier than hit and quit vs CPU on rookie.
SDS had short term memory loss on this, 17 was the year of online boosting, they fixed it with 18, yeah they went overboard with stat grinding. The fact is the multiple routes is the way to go, so no doubt 20 is better than 17 or 18, but still room to improve.

Honest question... Why would a strictly/mostly vs CPU player go through the trouble of playing online for the purpose of trying to prestige a card???

And thats also where they made a mistake. It shouldn’t have been a different card and just changed the color of diamond and gave a sort of inside edge boost. And I know it would affect guys like you but how many people come remotely close to getting every single card? 10? 50? It really can’t be that many
-
I'm guessing you weren't really "grinding"

Anything is better than having to collect hundreds of hats and jerseys, I am glad SDS didn't bring collectibles back...

Serves ya right for boosting. Wish SDS did this more
They can’t do it “more”. They opened this up by making prestige stats only attainable through online play. It was poorly planned to start with. Most players are already done with the reward path and it’s not extended so people are going to boost because there’s no other reason to play the event. I can say that most games I’ve played in the southpaw events players have asked for stats or will let you score in return for a win. I don’t see an issue with it
-
I was gonna try to prestige Hanley, but I think I'll just work on Jackie's hits/SBs. I only have one red diamond, Oswalt, just got it done without really trying. I'm about halfway there with Feller, but I took him out of my rotation for now.
Some of the event games I was playing my opponent would field the ball and then run into the OF, or throw to the wrong base and run out to LF. I guess they thought they were helping, but the game scored some of them as errors. And I wasn't even asking for hits.
I guess the stats will come one way or another. My last RS game Ellsbury had 3 HR and 7 RBI. That won't happen every game, but if I keep the cards in my lineup I will get there in time.
