With word that there might actuallly be an abbreviated season this year, has anyone heard if there will be an update and the game will feature the 60, 72, 80 or whatever shortened season fans end up getting? Or will anyone wishing to play franchise just have to use the regular 162 game schedule?

Can almost promise you they won't change anything in franchise. They haven't in years, why start now?

The only thing that changes in Franchise is they take things out. You used to have real marketing stuff like promotion give-aways, ticket and concession prices, old stadiums like Tiger Stadium, The Astrodome etc. All that is gone which makes franchise kind of boring now---probably why I've started and stopped 6-7 teams this year. After about the 2nd week of April games the fun wears off. Guess I'll stick to RTTS.

I'm in the middle of my franchise season & do not want the schedule missed with.

Try using a fictional roster and if you want to take it a step farther create 30 fictional teams. It’s a lot of work to get going but it provides an alternative to the MLB. Plus you can assign the old time stadiums to teams like you desire. I downloaded Bacon’s Fictional Roster, added/edited 300 or so players from previous versions of baseball games(High Heat, MVP) and really enjoy it. Learning all the new teams and players really provides a challenge.
